Northern Lights Husky Experience

Experience an authentic insight into the world of mushing (dog sledding), combined with the special atmosphere of a ride under the starry sky. After a safety briefing and an introduction to handling the huskies, you’ll set off on a dog sled for about an hour through a rugged winter landscape, partly along the Finnmarksløpet route - Europe's longest sled dog race. You’ll share a sled in pairs and can take turns driving. Back from your tour, you can help look after the dogs and reward them with a cuddle. Snacks are then served by the open fire in the lavvo (traditional tent), whilst the guide tells stories about life with huskies. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the appearance of the Northern Lights, but the conditions, far from light pollution, are ideal. Children aged 5–12 sit between an adult’s legs during the tour; 13–15-year-olds may sit independently and drive under the guide’s supervision. Driving alone is permitted from the age of 16.
