Dreamlike Northern Lights experience near Tromsø: The itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival in Tromsø, you will be taken by minibus to Nord-Lenangen. During the two-hour transfer, you will be enchanted by the surrounding nature and marvel at the winter landscape with its impressive fjords. In your accommodation, you will receive a warm welcome with a delicious hot dinner and end the evening at a Northern Lights workshop. Learn all about the magical Northern Lights in Tromsø and learn how best to capture them with a camera.

Day 2: Snowshoeing along the coast to Lyngstuva
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and look forward to the upcoming adventures of your Norway getaway! Head out into the wilderness on a snowshoe hike to Lyngstuva and discover the untouched nature of Northern Norway. The path will lead you along the coast at the northernmost end of the Lyngen peninsula to a lighthouse. Enjoy the spectacular views that will accompany you during this hike, from dramatic fjord landscapes to snow-capped islands and the open icy sea. Take a break in a small hut by the lighthouse and warm up with a snack and hot drink. In the afternoon you will arrive back at the hotel where you can relax. Let the day fade away after dinner; warm up in the hot tub and unwind in the sauna. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights!
Day 3: Dog sled or snowmobile safari in untouched nature
Strengthen yourself with a delicious breakfast, ready for a day full of adventure! Today you will have the choice between a dog sled tour or a snowmobile safari. Both trips start with an introduction and instructions for driving a sled or snowmobile. Whatever you choose, you can expect to experience beautiful and fascinating landscapes as you pass deep snow-covered trees and cross over frozen lakes. With the snowmobile, you can race at high speed through the incredible terrain and get your adrenaline pumping, whereas the huskies will glide smoothly and noiselessly over the glittering snow and allow you to relax and really take in the scenery. Please inform us before booking which of the two options you would like to choose. After a hearty dinner, a guided snowshoe hike is planned. This open-air excursion offers you the perfect opportunity to observe the Northern Lights in the wilderness, away from artificial light sources. While a break hot drinks await you. After two hours you will return back to the hotel for a restful night of sleep.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, it will sadly be time to say goodbye to this special place in northern Norway. Enjoy one last look at the wild nature of the North during your transfer back to the airport. You will not forget this experience in a hurry and we are sure you will remember your time here fondly! You will leave with many new experiences under your belt and fascinating stories to tell your loved ones when you arrive home.
You can also opt to extend your trip by one day and book additional activities (a 5-day trip from Sunday to Thursday is possible). Such exciting additional activities include whale watching, ice fishing, a visit to a local shrimp factory, a Northern Lights snowmobile tour, or another husky or snowmobile safari. New Year's Eve
Please note that the New Year's Eve tour dates will see changes to the program. On the second day, you will have the choice between an exciting dog sled tour or a snowmobile adventure. Please inform us before booking which option you would prefer. On the third day (on the 31st) the snowshoe hike will take you along the coast and in the evening you will start the New Year with a special New Year's Eve dinner. On New Year's Day you can take it easy, as the first part of the day is available for you to spend at your leisure. In the evening, a Northern Lights snowshoe hike is on the itinerary. You will then depart on the fifth day of the New Year's Eve trip.
Accomodation: The property is located at the northern end of the Lyngen peninsula, in the town of Nord-Lenangen and is the perfect starting point for your activities and excursions. Directly on the sea, you can expect breathtaking views and a cosy retreat during your eventful winter journey. Escape everyday life for a while in this remote place and enjoy the peace and quiet! The price refers to the accommodation for a double room. Single rooms are available for a surcharge - please contact us if you are interested.
Food:
Breakfast, afternoon coffee with waffles and dinner are served in the restaurant, which stands on poles in the fjord. Manly regional ingredients are used when preparing local traditional meals. While breakfast you have the opportunity to prepare a packed lunch for the day, which you can take on to the activities.

You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc).
