Cabin Bihka

"Bihka" is a handcrafted log cabin offering cosy accommodation in a traditional atmosphere across approx. 30 m². The cabin has two bedrooms, each fitted with a double bed (120 cm) and a single bunk bed, providing a total of four beds. There is also an additional mattress on a small loft, offering an extra sleeping option. A kitchenette is available for preparing simple meals; it is equipped with a microwave but does not have an oven. A seating area invites you to relax, and the fireplace provides cosy warmth after a day outdoors. Wi-Fi is also available. The toilet and shower are shared and located about 60 meters away in a neighbouring house.

Cabin Halde

The “Halde” is a handcrafted log cabin offering plenty of rustic charm across 35 m². You will find two bedrooms, each fitted with a double bed (120 cm) and a single bunk bed, providing a total of 4 beds. In addition, there is space in a loft for two mattresses, allowing for flexible accommodation for more guests. A kitchenette with a microwave is available, though there is no oven. A seating area and the fireplace create a particularly cosy atmosphere. Wi-Fi is available. The toilet and shower are shared and are located about 50 metres away in a neighbouring house.

Cabin Reanga

The handcrafted Reanga log cabin offers cosy and simple accommodation covering 20 m². The sleeping area features a double bed (120 cm) and a single bunk bed, making the cabin suitable for up to three people. There is a kitchenette, as well as a seating area where you can relax after an eventful day. A fireplace adds to the cosiness and creates a particularly rustic atmosphere. Wi-Fi is also available. The toilet and shower are not located in the cabin itself but are shared facilities situated about 60 m away in the neighbouring house.

Visit Herds of Reindeer

Visit the indigenous people of Lapland - the Sámi reindeer herders on the plateau! It is a unique privilege to accompany a Sámi family from Karasjok in Finnmark in their work and follow their daily life. If you want to do something really unique and are interested in the Sámi culture, this is it. You will spend the day with a Sámi reindeer herder and his herd, experiencing their work with the reindeer in their natural environment. You will be picked up by the herder with his snowmobile at 10 a.m. at the Engholm Husky Lodge and transported to the herd in a sleigh. Here you will have the opportunity to get closer to the animals and learn everything about life of a reindeer herder. Hot drinks are served around a campfire in the wilderness. If you'd like to, you can bring a sandwich or something else to toast by the fire.

Dog Sledding Day Tour

For the most part, the tour leads you far away from the beaten path, through the varied terrain of the nearby, untouched landscape. Experience a breathtaking dog sledding experience across 27 - 45 km of snow-covered nature. The tour starts at the Engholm Husky Design Lodge with a short introduction. An adequate level of fitness, concentration, and a sense of balance are the most important attributes that are required for your adventure. You will have your "own" dog team, shared with a partner or the guide. Alternatively, you can sit on the dog sled of the guide as a passenger only (this should however be clarified beforehand). You can fortify yourself with hot drinks around the campfire to keep your strength up! You can also bring a sandwich or something else to toast by the fire. Duration: 3.5 - 4.5 hours.

Short dogsledding tour

Hop on a dog sled for a one-hour ride through the white winter wonderland of Norway, off the beaten track. You will share a dog team with a partner or the guide. Alternatively, you can sit on the sled of the guide as a passenger (this should be agreed in advance). Children under the age of 10 receive a 50% discount. For an additional charge of €36, you can enjoy a guided tour of the husky kennel before or after the husky tour, offering fascinating insights into life there, including a hot drink. Please let us know in advance if you would like to take part in this.

There are tours of various lengths, simply contact us if you are interested and book a speedy ride through the wilderness of Norway together with a local guide. To drive a snowmobile yourself, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
