On this short getaway, you will have the best chances of seeing the famous Northern Lights due to the remote location of your accommodation, situated far away from artificial light sources. There will also be plenty of fun outdoor activities on offer in-between. Look forward to an included dog sledding or snowmobile safari as well as a Northern Lights snowshoe hike in the evening. On New Years Eve, you will enjoy a special dinner. The wild and untouched nature in the Lyngen Alps as well as the hotel’s hot tub and sauna will surely inspire you and make you feel relaxed and at peace.
Northern Lights Dreams: Tour itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival in Tromsø, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel. During the two-hour transfer, you will be enchanted by the surrounding nature and marvel at the winter landscape with its impressive fjords. In your accommodation, you will receive a warm welcome with a delicious hot dinner and end the evening at a Northern Lights workshop. Learn all about the magical Northern Lights in Tromsø and how best to capture them with a camera.

Enjoy a tasty breakfast and get ready for a day full of adventure! Today you will have the choice between a dog sledding tour or a snowmobile safari. Both trips start with instructions for driving a sled or snowmobile. Whatever you choose, you can expect to experience beautiful and fascinating landscapes as you pass deep snow-covered trees and cross over frozen lakes. With the snowmobile, you can race at high speed through the incredible terrain and get your adrenaline pumping, whereas the huskies will glide smoothly and noiselessly over the glittering snow and allow you to relax and really take in the scenery. Please inform us before booking which of the two options you would like to choose. In the afternoon you will arrive back at the hotel. Here you can relax in the hot tub and sauna. After enjoying a delicious dinner, don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights!
Day 3: Snowshoeing and New Year’s Eve dinner
Start the final day of the year with a hearty breakfast and look forward to the upcoming adventures of your Norway New Years getaway! Head out into the wilderness on a guided snowshoe hike to Lyngstuva and discover the untouched nature of northern Norway. The path will lead you along the coast at the northernmost end of the Lyngen peninsula to a lighthouse. Enjoy the spectacular views that will accompany you during this hike, from dramatic fjord landscapes to snow-capped islands and the open icy sea. Take a break in a small hut by the lighthouse and warm up with a snack and hot drink. In the evening, look forward to welcoming the New Year with a special New Year's Eve dinner.
Day 4: Free Day and Evening Northern Light Safari
On New Year's Day you can take it easy, as the first part of the day is available for you to spend at your leisure. You can, for example, choose to book an additional activity such as whale watching or cross-country skiing (for an extra charge) or just relax in the gorgeous surroundings. The use of the jacuzzi and sauna is included. Furthermore, snowshoes and kick sledges are available for free use. In the evening, a guided Northern Lights snowshoe hike is on the itinerary. This open-air excursion offers you the perfect opportunity to observe the Northern Lights in the wilderness, away from artificial light sources. After two hours you will return back to the hotel for a restful night of sleep.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, it will sadly be time to say goodbye to this special place in northern Norway. Enjoy one last look at the wild nature of the north during your transfer back to the airport of Tromsø. You will leave with many new experiences under your belt and fascinating stories to tell your loved ones when you arrive home.

The property is located at the northern end of the Lyngen peninsula, in the town of Nord-Lenangen and is the perfect starting point for your activities and excursions. Located directly on the sea, you can expect breathtaking views and a cosy retreat during your eventful winter journey. Escape everyday life for a while in this remote place and enjoy the peace and quiet! The price refers to the accommodation for a double room. Food:
Breakfast, afternoon coffee with waffles and dinner are served in the restaurant, which stands on poles in the fjord. Manly regional ingredients are used when preparing local traditional meals. During breakfast, you have the opportunity to prepare a packed lunch for the day, which you can take on to the activities.
