New Years Northern Lights Dreams

During this special New Year's trip, you will get close to the beautiful nature in northern Norway near Tromsø and experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! The stunning coast and breathtaking scenery in the far north offers you the perfect starting point for a variety of excursions and adventures. On this short getaway, you will have the best chances of seeing the famous Northern Lights due to the remote location of your accommodation, situated far away from artificial light sources. There will also be plenty of fun outdoor activities on offer in-between. Look forward to an included snowmobile safari as well as a Northern Lights snowshoe hike in the evening. On New Year's Eve, you will enjoy a special dinner. The wild and untouched nature in the Lyngen Alps as well as the hotel’s jacuzzi and sauna will surely pamper you and make you feel relaxed and at peace.



New Years Northern Lights Dreams: Tour itinerary


Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival in Tromsø, you will be picked up at 16:00 and taken to your hotel. During the two-hour transfer, you will be enchanted by the surrounding nature and marvel at the winter landscape with its impressive fjords. In your accommodation, you will receive a warm welcome with a delicious hot dinner and end the evening at a Northern Lights workshop. Learn all about the phenomenon and how to capture it best with a camera.

Day 2: Snowmobile safari & relaxation
Enjoy a tasty breakfast and get ready for a day full of adventure as today, you will explore the region on a snowmobile. Before you set off, you will receive the equipment and all the important information about safety and handling a snowmobile. You then drive in pairs into the impressive winter wonderland of Norway and can take photos of the beautiful surroundings during stops along the way. In the afternoon you will arrive back at the hotel. After enjoying a delicious dinner, don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights!
You can also relax in the jacuzzi (free for a one time use) and the sauna.

For an extra charge, you can swap the snowmobile tour for a safari on dog sled. Please let us know if you are interested!

Day 3: Snowshoeing and New Year’s Dinner

Start the final day of the year with a hearty breakfast! Today, you head out into the wilderness on a guided snowshoe hike to Lyngstuva, the northernmost tip of the Lyngen peninsula, and discover the untouched nature of northern Norway. Enjoy the spectacular views that will accompany you during this hike, from dramatic fjord landscapes to snow-capped islands and the open icy sea. In the evening, look forward to welcoming the New Year with a special New Year's Dinner.
 
Day 4: Free Day and Evening Northern Lights Safari
On New Year's Day you can take it easy, as the first part of the day is available for you to spend at your leisure. You can, for example, choose to book an additional activity such as whale watching or cross-country skiing (for an extra charge) or just relax in the gorgeous surroundings. In the evening, a guided Northern Lights snowshoe hike is on the itinerary. This open-air excursion offers you the perfect opportunity to observe the Northern Lights in the wilderness, away from artificial light sources. After two hours you will return back to the hotel for a restful night of sleep.



Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, it will sadly be time to say goodbye to this special place in northern Norway. Enjoy one last look at the wild nature of the north during your transfer back to Tromsø. You will leave with many new experiences under your belt and fascinating stories to tell your loved ones when you arrive home.

The property is located at the northern end of the Lyngen peninsula, in the town of Nord-Lenangen and is the perfect starting point for your activities and excursions. Located directly on the sea, you can expect breathtaking views and a cosy retreat during your eventful winter journey. Escape everyday life for a while in this remote place and enjoy the peace and quiet! The price refers to the accommodation in a cabin or apartment with an occupancy of 2 persons. Food:

Breakfast, afternoon snack with coffee or tea and dinner are served in the restaurant, which stands on poles in the fjord. Mainly regional ingredients are used when preparing local traditional meals. Lunch will be provided as a packed lunch.

Important information:
To drive a snowmobile, you have to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving licence. Children ride with the guide, depending on their age and height.
