Northern Lights Weekend Norway: The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Tromsø Airport, you will be met in the afternoon and taken to your accommodation XLyngen. On the way, you will already be able to admire the impressive nature that will surround you during the next few days. The wild coastal landscape will quickly captivate your heart and imagination. Once you have checked in, you can move into your cosy cabin or apartment. Spend the evening relaxing and look forward to the adventures that lie ahead! In good weather conditions, the hotel's northern location gives you a great chance of sighting the Northern Lights. You will have the best view if you walk a little further away from artificial light sources.

Day 2: With the Snowmobile into the Wilderness
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning before setting off on your first adventure. On this day, a snowmobile excursion into the Norwegian coastal landscape has been planned for you (2 persons / snowmobile). After receiving your safety instructions, you can start the engines and head out into the wilderness. You will glide past snow-covered fjords, over frozen lakes, and enjoy breathtaking views. This 2h tour takes you to the most beautiful places in the arctic wilderness and offers fantastic photo opportunities. Enjoy this special experience, which you are sure to remember for a long time, and immerse yourself in the beauty of this region. Back at the hotel, get yourself warmed up and end this day in a relaxed way. Keep your eyes open! With a little luck the magical Northern Lights will dance above you in the night sky and offer a breathtaking spectacle.

Day 3: Your Time Out in the Far North
Fortify yourself with breakfast and look forward to another day surrounded by the impressive Norwegian nature. Today, you can organise your programme according to your own wishes. You have the choice between various activities and excursions, exploring the area, or simply relaxing! There are plenty of exciting excursions to choose from, such as cross-country skiing or dog sledding to name a few. This evening you will have another chance to look for the legendary Northern Lights. An ideal opportunity for this is a northern lights safari with snowshoes (or on foot), which can be booked for an extra charge.

Day 4: Departure
After a last breakfast, you will start your journey home. Enjoy the view of the snow-capped fjords one more time on your way back to Tromsø. You are sure to remember this Northern Lights Weekend for a long time, with plenty of exciting stories to tell your loved ones when you get home! If you have booked the 5-days trip, this day is also at your leisure and you can book any activities and excursions according to your personal interests. In this case, the departure takes place on the fifth day of the trip.
 
Accommodation:
For this Northern Lights Weekend you will be staying in a small yet exclusive accommodation. The premises has several Rorbu cabins, which house everything you will need (bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom). The fantastic location right in the middle of the impressive fjord landscape is the perfect starting point for excursions into the surrounding nature and makes a cosy retreat at the same time. In addition to the cabins, it is also possible to stay in an apartment. The one-time use of the sauna and jacuzzi is already included in the price.
