Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival, you will enjoy a delicious meal, after which your guide will give you your first briefing regarding the tour. Whilst he may be able to give you a rough indication of the direction the tour will take, he will keep this flexible in order to provide you with the very best dog sledding experience possible, and exact routes will depend on the snow and weather conditions. Your overnight accommodation will predominantly be spent in cozy winter tents, but there may be the option to stay in wilderness cabins depending on the route that the tour takes.

After breakfast, you will be taken to get your cold-weather gear, which will keep you comfortable and warm throughout your expedition, after which you will be organized into teams. You will then meet your team of excited huskies!
Days 3-7: Dog sledding off the beaten tracks
The next few days will see you venturing off the beaten track into untouched areas of the stunning Norwegian wilderness. The freedom of using sled dogs gives you the opportunity to see areas of the country that few people are privy too. You will get to see interesting wildlife and experience a range of terrain during your trip. The food will be prepared and enjoyed at a bonfire. While this tour you will sleep in cozy and heated tents in the wilderness or if your route leads you to the Finmark tableau you will probably spend a night in a lonely mountain hut as well. You may also be lucky enough to spot the Aurora Borealis, aka the incredible Northern Lights.
At the end of the tour, you will return to the guide's lodge to enjoy a well deserved hot shower, cozy heated wooden sauna, and outdoor hot tub. Your tour group will gather together to enjoy a hot meal together, giving you the chance to discuss the highlights of your trip, which are sure to be memories that will last a lifetime.

Additional Information:
The safety of our guests and animals is our top priority on all of our tours. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. Whilst we strive to follow the planned trails as closely as possible, we reserve the right to change the order of activities, the route of safaris, and the intensity of the excursions should the needs of our guests or animals necessitate it, or if the weather conditions compromise our pre-planned route. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay. For this reason, corona-related reasonable usage rules or restrictions may arise when using said services. Please note these official requirements (Google Translate).
