The best of Norway: The itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival in Tromsø, you will be taken by minibus to Nord-Lenangen at 16:00. During the two-hour transfer, you will already have the best view of the beautiful winter landscape with the impressive fjords, which you will be surrounded by for the next few days. At the hotel, you will be warmly welcomed with a delicious dinner and a Northern Lights workshop in the evening. Learn all about the magical Northern Lights and how best to capture them with a camera. Catering starts with dinner on day 1 and ends with breakfast on the last day.

Day 2: Snowshoeing along the coast to Lyngstuva
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and look forward to all the upcoming adventures! On a snowshoe hike to Lyngstuva, you will dive into the untouched nature of northern Norway and set off for a firehouse on the coast at the northernmost tip of the Lyngen peninsula. Enjoy the breathtaking views that will accompany you during this hike - past dramatic fjord landscapes, snow-capped islands, and the open icy sea. Enjoy a break with a snack and hot drink at the firehouse before heading back. In the afternoon you will arrive back at the hotel, where you can end the day with relaxation. Look forward to a delicious dinner, warm up in the hot tub and unwind in the sauna. The one-time use of both is already included in the price. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights in the evening!
Day 3: Adventurous Huskytour and Northern Lights Experience
After breakfast, prepare for a day full of exciting activities! You will be taken to a local husky farm, where the dogs will already be looking forward to seeing you. Before you get on the skids, you will get an introduction to the handling of your dog team and the sled. After receiving safety instructions, you will start your tour in the wilderness of Northern Norway. Let your four-legged companions pull you into the wilderness and experience the high north from a very special perspective. The silence is interrupted only by the paws of the huskies crunching on the snow cover. You will cross a breathtaking landscape consisting of snow-capped forests, frozen lakes, wild coastal scenery, and impressive fjords.
In the evening, having filled your belly with a delicious hot dinner, a guided snowshoe hike is planned. This open-air excursion offers you the perfect opportunity to observe the Northern Lights in the wilderness, away from artificial light sources. Afterwards, you will return to the hotel for a good night of rest.
Day 4: Snowmobile tour with fantastic views
During breakfast, you can already look forward to today's snowmobile safari! After being shown how to safely use the snowmobiles, you can start the engines and feel the adrenaline kick in (2 persons / snowmobile)! Marvel at the beautiful and wild nature as you race past and glide your snowmobile over the glittering snow cover. This excursion is a chance to feel pure joy and get your blood pumping in the last true wilderness of Europe! During the tour, there will be some viewpoints over the surrounding snow-covered landscape, where you can stop to take photos. Warm up with hot drinks and snacks and return to your hotel in the afternoon. You can end this day by relaxing and watching the Northern Lights dance across the night sky.
Day 5 and Day 6: Free days and your own adventure
These two days are for you to spend at your leisure and can be designed according to your own wishes and ideas. You can simply spend this time relaxing, you can go exploring, or you can even book further optional activities (at an additional cost). For example, you can go whale watching, cross-country skiing, and more. You can also use snowshoes and kick sledges free of charge. The choice is yours: do whatever your heart desires! The fascinating landscape and wild nature are waiting to be discovered and offer you the perfect place for your winter travel and the best of Norway.
Day 7: Departure
After a final breakfast, the time has come to say goodbye to the Lyngen Alps. Enjoy the view of the impressive fjord landscape one last time during your transfer to Tromsø . You will leave, taking countless new memories and experiences with you from Arctic Norway.
Accommodation:
The accommodation XLyngen is located at the northern end of the Lyngen peninsula, in the town of Nord-Lenangen and is the perfect starting point for your activities and excursions. Directly by the sea, you can expect breathtaking views and a cosy retreat during your eventful winter journey. Escape everyday life in this remote place and enjoy the peace and quiet! The price refers to the accommodation for a double room. From an occupancy of 3 persons in a hut, you will receive a small discount. Single rooms are available for a surcharge - please contact us if you are interested.

The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc).
