Northern Lights Snowmobile Adventure

Good physical fitness & experience Age 16+

An adventure under the starry sky: Ride a snowmobile through the Yukon at night and, if the skies are clear and you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of the shimmering Northern Lights. After receiving safety instructions from a professional guide, you’ll set off on snowmobiles in pairs from the Aurora Center and follow the snow-covered trails for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, taking turns driving. An upgrade to a single-rider snowmobile is available upon request. You’ll stop at a remote spot in complete silence, enjoy a campfire under the open sky, and—weather permitting—wait for the Northern Lights. Back from snowmobiling, you can relax and take in the view in a warm cabin and yurts before being transferred back to Whitehorse. The tour starts at 11:20 p.m. and lasts 4 hours. Included are transportation, a guide, Northern Lights viewing (weather permitting), a snowmobile tour, helmet and gloves, a photo service, a snack, and drinks. Winter clothing is not included but can be rented. Drivers must be at least 16 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and provide parental consent. Passengers must be at least 91 cm tall. A credit card deposit is required in case of damage to the vehicle. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please contact us in advance. Prior experience with snowmobiles is recommended. This tour can also be booked as an optional upgrade to the regular Northern Lights viewing tour included in the travel package.
