The Best of the Yukon: The Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival

Day 2: Unique Perspective From A Plane
This morning, you will take a 30-minute scenic flight over the spectacular winter landscape. You will get to see the land from a truly unique perspective — a breathtaking panoramic view over the snow-capped Yukon. Back in Whitehorse, you will discover the history of the north on a city-sightseeing tour. Whitehorse has a lot to offer and is home to famous sights like the historic Paddlewheeler SS Klondike or a “Skyscraper” completely made out of logs. Later, you will be driven to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where you can see local inhabitants like the Elk, Moose, Caribou, Mountain Goats and Lynx in their natural surroundings. Not far from here, you will visit the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs and indulge yourself in the natural hot waters while relaxing in a breathtaking winter mountain setting. Later that evening you’ll be back on the road again to seek views of the stunning Northern Lights. Relax in sheltered comfort, or under the starry sky beside a warm fire at one of the tailor-made Aurora viewing locations.
Day 3: Enchanting Huskies Are Waiting for You
Get ready for an exciting day ahead! Today is the much-anticipated husky tour, where you will be gliding on a dog sled through the beautiful landscape of the Yukon. While the expert guide takes the lead of the sled, you sit in the front and can simply enjoy the tour (1-5 people per sled). Along the way, you will visit a race checkpoint and learn about the history of dog sledding during a stop at a prospector cabin. In the evening, your hosts will lead you on a guided tour to the Aurora Centre, where you will hopefully observe the fascinating Northern Lights (including transfers, snacks and beverages).
Day 4: On Fast Tracks Through The Snow
Today, you will drive to the mountains near Whitehorse for a detailed snowmobile safety introduction (2 people per snowmobile). While driving, you will pass snow-covered mountains, frozen lakes with a thick layer of ice, and dense forests. Race through the wilderness and feel the rush of adrenaline as you glide through the untouched snow. Warm up in your hotel and look out for the dancing Northern Lights in the night sky on your own this evening.
Day 5: Journey Home
Sadly, all good things must come to an end! You will be transferred back to the airport with many great memories of your adventures in the beautiful Yukon.
Accommodation:
During this trip, you will stay in a double room at Sternwheeler Hotel in Whitehorse. For a surcharge, you can book a single room.
Travel Date:
This package starts every day of the week and the travel date can be adjusted accordingly. The trip can be extended with further activities upon request. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period.
