After a hearty breakfast, you will take a 30-minute scenic flight over the spectacular winter landscape. You will get to see the land from a truly unique perspective — a breathtaking panoramic view over the snow-capped Yukon. Back in Whitehorse, you will discover the history of Whitehorse on a city-sightseeing tour. Whitehorse has a lot to offer and is home to famous sights like the historic Paddlewheeler SS Klondike or a “Skyscraper” completely made out of logs. Later, you will be driven to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where you can see local inhabitants like the Elk, Moose, Caribou, Mountain Goats and Lynx in their natural surroundings. Not far from here, you will visit the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs and indulge yourself in the natural hot waters while relaxing in a breathtaking winter mountain setting. Later that evening you’ll be back on the road again to seek views of the stunning Northern Lights. Relax in sheltered comfort, or under the starry sky beside a warm fire at one of our tailor-made Aurora viewing locations.
Day 3: Enchanting Huskies Are Waiting for You
Fuel up with a filling breakfast, ready for an exciting day ahead! Today is the much-anticipated husky tour, where you will be gliding on the skids of a dog sled through the beautiful landscape of the Yukon. After a detailed briefing, make your way along pristine trails and experience the feeling of freedom on a dog sled. Your excited huskies will take you through snowy forests and over frozen lakes...an exhilarating activity bound to get the blood pumping! Later in the evening, you and your hosts will lead you on a guided tour to the Aurora Centre, where you will hopefully observe the fascinating Northern Lights (including transfers, snacks and beverages).
Day 4: On Fast Tracks Through The Snow
After breakfast, you will drive to the mountains near Whitehorse for a detailed snowmobile safety introduction. While driving, you will pass the snow-covered mountains, over frozen lakes with a thick layer of ice, and through dense forests. Race through the wilderness and feel the rush of adrenaline as you glide through the untouched snow. Warm up in your hotel and watch out for the dancing Northern Lights in the night sky again.
