The Best of the Yukon: The Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in the centre of the historic town of Whitehorse. Use this day to explore the city on your own and spend some time relaxing at your leisure. You can look forward to plenty of exciting moments and adventures over the coming days!

Day 2: Unique Perspective From A Plane
This morning, you will take a 30-minute scenic flight over the spectacular winter landscape. You will get to see the land from a truly unique perspective — a panoramic view over the snow-capped Yukon. Back in Whitehorse, you will discover the history of the north on a city-sightseeing tour. Whitehorse has a lot to offer and is home to famous sights like the historic Paddlewheeler SS Klondike or a “Skyscraper” completely made out of logs. Later, you will be driven to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where you can see local inhabitants like the Elk, Moose, Caribou, Mountain Goats and Lynx in their natural surroundings. If you'd like, you can add a visit to the hot springs for an extra charge before heading back to the hotel (please book in advance). Later that evening you’ll be back on the road again to seek views of the stunning Northern Lights. Relax in sheltered comfort, or under the starry sky beside a warm fire at one of the tailor-made Aurora viewing locations.
Day 3: Snowshoeing and Ice Fishing
Get ready for another exciting day in the Yukon! Today, you will explore the area around Whitehorse on snowshoes and search for the perfect spot to go ice fishing on one of the frozen lakes. Your guide will assess the conditions to ensure you have the best possible experience. While you wait for the big catch, warm drinks will be served to keep you from getting cold too quickly. If you're successful, the guide will fillet your fish right there and cook it over the fire. Later in the evening, a guide takes you to the Aurora Center, where you will hopefully be able to watch the mesmerizing Northern Lights.
Day 4: On Fast Tracks Through The Snow
Today, you will drive to the mountains near Whitehorse for a detailed snowmobile safety introduction (2 people per snowmobile). While snowmobiling, you will pass snow-covered mountains, frozen lakes with a thick layer of ice, and dense forests. Navigate through the wilderness and feel the rush of adrenaline as you glide through the untouched snow. Warm up in your hotel and look out for the dancing Northern Lights in the night sky on your own this evening.
Day 5: Out and About on a Kick Sled
It's time to head back out into the winter wilderness - this time on a fun kick sled tour. Look forward to stunning snowy landscapes as you travel slight evelations on forest trails and accross frozen lakes. Of course, you will receive a brief instruction session at the start, but the kick sled is easy to master. Similar to a scooter, you push off the ground with your feet to move forward - and thanks to the sled's snow and ice rails, you can even ride over snowdrifts and fresh powder snow. Finally, you will return to the hotel, where you can reflect on the most beautiful moments of your trip.
Day 6: Journey Home
Sadly, all good things must come to an end! You will be transferred back to the airport with many great memories of your adventures in the beautiful Yukon.

During this trip, you will stay in a double room at Best Western Gold Rush Inn in Whitehorse. For a surcharge, you can book a single room or other hotel options. You will receive a discount on triple or quadruple rooms.
Travel Date:
This package starts every day of the week and the travel date can be adjusted accordingly. The trip can be extended with further activities upon request. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Important information about snowmobiling:
Please note that you have to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license to operate a snowmobile.

The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. Optional activities have very limited availability; we recommend booking them well in advance, often weeks or months before departure, as they may be fully booked by the time of travel.
