A guided tour lasting around three hours through the church town of Gammelstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a fascinating insight into the history of northern Sweden. The town’s origins date back to the 14th century, and Gammelstad remains of great cultural and historical significance to this day – both for Luleå and for Sweden as a whole. After a short transfer, you will meet your guide, who will lead you on a walking tour through the village. Along the way, you will learn how the history of the village is linked to the local geography, the development of the region and the history of northern Sweden. During the visit, you will also have the opportunity to discover charming arts and crafts shops and visit an informative exhibition about the village’s history.
