Have you always wanted to experience the far north in its pure beauty? Then this long weekend in Swedish Lapland is exactly the right trip for you! You go on an exciting husky safari, have a selection of countless other adventures (see "Extras") that you can be part of and have great chances of seeing the Northern Lights.
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up at Luleå Kallax Airport or Luleå train station. From there, the drive to the lodge only takes about 40 minutes. Depending on your arrival time, you can use the first afternoon to settle in and relax. In the evening, a delicious 3-course meal awaits you in the restaurant and afterwards you will be given a few tips on where you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights later in the evening. For complete relaxation, you can use the optional sauna (at an extra charge).
Day 2: Dog sledding in the Swedish wilderness
After a hearty breakfast, you will take a short drive to a local husky farm today. Here, after a briefing, you can drive your own sled dog team in pairs of two and take turns driving. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings while the happy and eager dogs pull you through the snow-covered landscape. The tour lasts around 1.5 hours in total before you return to the lodge for a relaxing end to the day. Don't forget to walk a few meters in the dark in the evening after dinner and keep an eye out for the northern lights!

Day 3: At leisure: snowmobile, reindeer and northern lights
After a delicious breakfast, you will start the day refreshed. Many more adventures await you (costs depending on the activity, see "Extras"). From further husky tours to exciting snowmobile rides, a visit to a Sami family and their reindeer, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, an icebreaker tour or an aurora dinner on the ice, everything Lapland has to offer is possible!
Another highlight are the various aurora activities - with a bit of luck, you can experience this incomparable natural spectacle up close. You will certainly never forget the sight of the dancing lights in the starry sky of Swedish Lapland.
Day 4: Departure
After a last delicious breakfast, you will be taken back to the train station or airport in Luleå. We wish you a pleasant journey home and many happy memories of an exciting time in the far north!
You haven't had enough yet and would like to stay a few more days to relax or experience more adventures? No problem, if available you can extend your stay by as many days as you like and add more activities. It is also possible to set flexible arrival and departure days. Just get in touch with us!
Accommodation:
On this tour, you will stay at either Brändön or Pine Bay Lodge.
The main building of the Brändön Lodge is a log cabin that accommodates a restaurant, lounges and relaxation area. Surrounding the main building are several cabins facing towards the sea and the Luleå archipelago. Each cabin has a bathroom, two bedrooms with two single beds in each, a lounge and a covered veranda. The twin beds in one room can be pushed together to form a double bed.
Pine Bay Lodge has several en-suite hotel rooms (double and single) and a special family cabin with two double rooms, one single room and shared facilities. In addition to a large open plan dining and lounge room for all guests, the lodge also has a sauna, which you can book for private use.
Note:
To drive a snowmobile yourself, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Young children ride in the guide's sledge on husky tours and snowmobile safaris
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay.
