Group size 2~12 Persons
During your stay you will learn a lot about life in the far north, nature and the animals there. You can also participate in many exciting and relaxing activities such as dog sledding, snowmobile safaris, self-guided walks through the snowy scenery and northern lights watching.
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up at Luleå Airport or train station. From there, the drive to the lodge takes only about 40 minutes. You can use the first afternoon to settle in, select your warm winter clothing and relax. In the evening, a delicious 3-course meal awaits you in the restaurant and afterwards you will get some tips on where to catch a glimpse of the northern lights later in the evening if you are lucky. For complete relaxation, you can take advantage of the optional sauna or go for a short walk in search of the Aurora Borealis.
Day 2: Nordic Survival Skills
Being close to nature is part of daily life in the far north and today you will spend time together on a snowshoe hike talking about the forest, the frozen sea and the nature that surrounds you. You will learn how to survive and stay safe in the Arctic region. This will include lunch in a traditional Sami teepee and looking for tracks and signs of the different wildlife that lives in the area. In the afternoon you can relax or choose one of the many optional activities (see "Extras") before heading out for dinner.

Day 3: Dog Sledding
After a hearty breakfast, today you will take a short drive to a local husky farm. Here, after a short briefing, you and a partner can drive your own sled dog team (2 people per sled) for approx. one hour. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings as the happy dogs, eager to run, pull you through the snow-covered landscape. In the evening, after dinner at the restaurant, you can relax and search for northern lights in the sky.
Day 4: Snowmobile Tour
A new day in the far north awaits you and after breakfast you will prepare for an adventure of about 2 hours. With the snowmobiles (2 people per snowmobile, single use possible for an extra charge) you will explore Sweden's white forests, the frozen sea and icy lakes. You will have your dinner at the lodge's restaurant and afterwards you can snuggle up comfortably in bed or go out again to look for northern lights.
Day 5: Departure
Depending on your departure time, you may have time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet this morning before you unfortunately have to say goodbye. A transfer will take you to the airport or train station in time for your journey home. You will take with you many new experiences and wonderful memories of your adventures in the Swedish winter.
Accommodation:
On this tour, you will stay at either Brändön or Pine Bay Lodge.
The main building of the Brändön Lodge is a log house that houses a restaurant and a lounge and relaxation area. Surrounding the main building are several log cabins overlooking the sea and Luleå archipelago. Each cabin has been recently renovated and includes a bathroom, two bedrooms with two single beds in each, a lounge and a covered veranda. The single beds in one room can be pushed together to make a double bed.
The Pine Bay Lodge is a small hotel with standard double rooms, a restaurant, a cozy lounge with a large fireplace and a sauna that you can book privately to complete the Swedish lifestyle.
Note:
To drive a snowmobile, you have to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Please note that children can only ride on the snowmobile or drive their own dog sled team if they are of a certain size and age. This is at the discretion of the guide. Smaller or younger children will be sitting in the guide's sled during the safaris.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay.
