Day 2: Sami Camp and Reindeer Experience
Your day begins with a hearty breakfast before you set off for the Sami Camp in Tavelsjö. After a journey of around 45 minutes, you will reach your destination and learn more about the life of the Sami people. You will meet the reindeer themselves and have lunch cooked over an open fire in a teepee. Three hours later, you will return to the lodge and can spend the rest of the day as you please until dinner. If the sky is clear and conditions are good, try to move away from artificial light sources - perhaps the Northern Lights will pay you a visit?
Day 3: Snowshoe hike and snowmobile tour with ice fishing
After breakfast, a snowshoe hike is on the programme, during which you will explore the natural surroundings of the lodge. The excursion lasts around 2 hours and introduces you to the local area, enabling you to go on short tours on your own later on. Lunch is served at the lodge, after which the next adventure awaits. You will drive by electric snowmobile to the best fishing spots and have a go at ice fishing (2 people / snowmobile). Along the way, you will enjoy the Swedish landscape and treat yourself to a nice cup of coffee during a break. The tour lasts a total of 3 hours. Finally, you will round off the day with dinner at the lodge.
Day 4: Half-day husky tour
Start the day with breakfast - today it's time for dog sledding! At the husky kennel, you will first receive an introduction with safety instructions, before meeting the energetic dogs. They can't wait to set off through the winter landscape. Two people per sled, you will guide your husky team along the trails and take turns driving. The passenger sits on the sled, enjoying the passing scenery and snapping a few lovely photos and videos. About 3 hours later, you will return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon is yours to spend as you wish, exploring the surroundings or simply relaxing. The final dinner of your trip is the perfect moment to reflect on the experiences of the past few days.
Day 5: Departure
Today, you will have one last breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards, you will pack your bags and get ready to leave. A transfer will take you to Umeå Airport or Vindeln train station, from where you can continue your journey home. You will leave Swedish Lapland with many new memories and experiences to take with you.

Children aged between 9 and 15 who are at least 120 cm tall may sit alone on a sled driven by an adult. Otherwise, children sit on the sled together with an adult. If you are travelling with several children aged 5–9 or under 120 cm, please contact us before booking.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. Optional activities have very limited availability; we recommend booking them well in advance, often weeks or months before departure, as they may be fully booked by the time of travel.

31.12.2023 - Traumhaftes Erlebnis
