Day 1: Arrival
You will be met upon arrival at Umeå Airport in the afternoon and drive just over an hour to the lodge where your adventure begins. There you will check into your comfortable rooms and end the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Reindeer Experience
A day fully dedicated to reindeer and their history lies ahead of you. After breakfast, head out to meet the reindeer, discover the Sami culture and the role these majestic animals play in the daily life of Lapland. Lunch will be provided during the excursion, which lasts about 3 hours in total. Afterwards, you will have the rest of the day to yourself and enjoy the surroundings at your leisure before your dinner is served.

Day 3: Snowmobile safari and ice fishing
Today you will set off on an exciting snowmobile safari through the dense forests and across frozen lakes of the Swedish winter landscape. You will share a snowmobile in pairs and take turns driving. On the way you will stop to try your luck at traditional ice fishing. This is accompanied by Swedish "fika" with hot drinks and snacks. The whole excursion takes about 3 hours. Afterwards, you will return back to the lodge for another nice dinner of local specialties.
Day 4 & 5: Free day
These two days are at your leisure. Enjoy the idyll around you and relax or explore the surroundings on your own. You have the option to add additional activities (see "Extras"), relax in the sauna (extra charge) and then venture into an invigorating ice bath or simply enjoy the peace and quiet with a good book and a hot coffee or tea. Have a good rest, because the next day brings a new great adventure!
Day 6: Set off into the wilderness with the dog sleds
Set off on an unforgettable two-day husky tour. Experience the excitement and joy of being pulled through the snow-covered landscape by a team of enthusiastic huskies. Here you have to lend a hand! Of course, you will first be given a introduction before you harness the dogs together and venture onto the sled runners yourself. The start will be a little noisy and turbulent, but once you're moving, you'll find your rhythm and can enjoy the beauty of nature around you. On the way, you will take a break where you will be served a hot cup of coffee and Swedish "fika" and have the opportunity to take photos. In the evening, you do not return to your accommodation, but spend the night in a rustic wilderness cabin without electricity or running water. You will be given head torches to look after the dogs and make a fire to warm up the cozy hut in no time. You will spend the night here together with your tour group and dinner will also be served there.
Day 7: Husky tour and return to accommodation
In the morning you take care of the dogs before you enjoy your own breakfast. After that you will prepare your dog sleds and start on another husky tour through the woods. Again, everyone drives their own sled today. Towards afternoon you will return to the lodge, where you can relax the rest of the day and process the all those wonderful and countless new impressions.
Day 8: Departure
The last day starts with breakfast before you unfortunately have to pack your things and say goodbye. A transfer will take you back to Umeå airport or city, from where you will start your journey home with many new, incomparable memories in your luggage.
Accommodation:
The lodge is located in a small village in the wilderness of Northern Lapland. It is located directly on the quiet river Umeå. The standard accommodation on this trip is double rooms in the eco-hotel or small cabins for up to four people. These are equipped with comfortable beds, toilet and shower with towels. Each room has a TV, kettle, tea and coffee. The cabins also have a small kitchenette and, in addition to a double bed that can be pushed apart to make two single beds, a sofa bed. Wifi is available throughout the premises. All rooms are non-smoking. If you wish, you can spend a night in an Aurora tree house during your stay (extra charge, see "Extras").
One night you sepnd in a wilderness cabin with communal sleeping quarters, without electricity and running water, where you make a fire to heat the room and the toilet is outside.
Note:
To drive a snowmobile you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay. For this reason, corona-related reasonable usage rules or restrictions may arise when using said services. Please note these official requirements (Google Translate). Show all dates

31.12.2023 - Traumhaftes Erlebnis
