"Arcora is a new luxury boutique hotel and villa resort opening in Muonio, Finnish Lapland, in December 2026, combining premium Arctic accommodation, curated nature experiences, wellness, and a high-end culinary concept led by chef Arto Rastas."
Arcora Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas is a new premium resort development in Muonio, Finnish Lapland, located in the lakeside village of Torassieppi beside Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Scheduled to open in December 2026, Arcora is positioned as a high-end Arctic retreat where luxury accommodation, curated experiences, wellness, dining, and Lapland’s natural setting are combined into one integrated stay.
The project is part of Harriniva Hotels & Safaris, a third-generation family company that has operated in Finnish Lapland since 1973. Arcora builds on this heritage in a more premium form, targeting travellers seeking quiet luxury, Arctic nature, privacy, and meaningful local experiences. The resort will include 42 hotel rooms and 20 standalone villas, with a total project budget of €25 million, supported by €1.5 million in EU funding.
Accommodation options include Jr Suites, Executive Suites, Sky Villas, and Deluxe Villas. The offer is designed around comfort, Nordic design, and direct connection to the landscape. Selected villas include private terraces, hot tubs, panoramic sky views, saunas, and premium bathroom features. Outdoor clothing and required safety gear for activities are included, supporting the resort’s all-inclusive positioning.
Arcora’s experiences focus on classic Lapland activities, but with a more private and curated approach. Guests can join reindeer safaris, snowmobiling, snowshoeing in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, and husky safaris. The emphasis is on small groups, direct access from the resort where possible, unhurried pacing, and authentic encounters rather than mass tourism.
Dining is a central part of the concept. Arcora’s restaurant world opens with the hotel in December 2026 and is led by Finnish chef Arto Rastas. The culinary concept is based on Lapland’s eight seasons, local ingredients, northern craftsmanship, and refined Nordic cuisine. Restaurant 8 will offer an eight-course chef’s menu, with shorter menu options also available. Additional venues include Arcora Lobby Bar & Bakery and Pyry Champagne Bar.
The resort is accessible via Kittilä Airport, around 65 km away, or Enontekiö Arctic Airport in Hetta. Overall, Arcora presents itself as a premium Lapland destination built around silence, nature, design, food, wellness, and curated Arctic experiences.
