Day 2: Snowmobiles and Huskies in a Wintry Landscape
After breakfast, the itinerary includes both a snowmobile and a husky safari, accompanied by guides who will provide instruction and the necessary equipment. Across varied terrain ranging from open fells to frozen lakes, there will be time for short stops, photos, and stories. Back at the hotel, you’ll warm up in a peaceful atmosphere; a late lunch and dinner will round out the day.
Day 3: Snowshoe Hike and Mindfulness
This day is intentionally designed to be more relaxed and offers space for quiet reflection. During the snowshoe hike, you’ll move at a leisurely pace through snow-covered landscapes, guided by an expert and equipped with specialized gear. Later in the day, there will be a one-hour session with the guide that combines nature, tranquility, and Arctic beauty, focusing on mindfulness rather than speed. Here, you can truly connect with yourself and your surroundings.
Day 4: Reindeer Experience and Lapland Relax
The morning begins gently before you visit a reindeer farm together, where you’ll gain a deeper insight into the daily life and history of the place. Your visit is complemented by a reindeer safari at the animals’ own pace. Back at the hotel, you can look forward to a relaxing time at the spa: enjoy saunas and swimming, as well as a hydrating face mask and massage. A day that demands little of you but gives you so much in return.
Day 5: Farewell and Journey Home
After breakfast, your return journey will slowly but surely draw nearer. Before departure, you can eat a light lunch in the afternoon. After that, the transfer to the airport takes place. The white landscapes of Lapland are sure to remain in your heart for a long time to come.
Accommodation:
You’ll be staying at the brand-new Arcora Boutique Hotel, which is set to open this winter near the town of Muonio in Finnish Lapland and is part of the well-known and popular Harriniva Hotels & Safari Group. The suites and villas are built in harmony with nature and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including the sky—ideal for viewing the Northern Lights when conditions are right. All room categories are located either directly in the hotel or in separate villas on the hotel grounds. In addition to a lobby bar with a bakery and the “Restaurant 8,” a champagne bar and spa lounge await you. The latter also serves as the reception area for the spa, which features a panoramic terrace, an outdoor infinity pool, a cold-dip pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, and three saunas. The hotel also has a gym.
The standard accommodation is the Junior Suite Kalle. Enjoy unobstructed views of nature and the night sky right from your bed—on clear nights, you might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. For an additional fee, you can also stay in other suites and villas, some of which feature their own scenic-view sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. Please feel free to contact us if you’re interested.
Important information:
Please note that you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license to operate a snowmobile. During both the snowmobile and husky safaris, you will share a snowmobile or sled in pairs and take turns driving. For an additional fee, you can participate in the snowmobile safari as a solo driver (please let us know before arrival).
Meals:
This trip includes full board, consisting of breakfast, afternoon tea/late lunch, and a 3- to 4-course dinner.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. Optional activities have very limited availability; we recommend booking them well in advance, often weeks or months before departure, as they may be fully booked by the time of travel.
