With two national parks on its doorstep, Bardu Husky Lodge is ideal for wilderness tours. And in all seasons! To the north, south and east are vast, deserted areas in front of you. To the west, towards the North Atlantic, the valley is characterized by cultivated landscape and isolated farms. With this Anbeiter there is no mass tourism. For the winter tours are available to the 60 friendly huskies. Furthermore, there live six reindeer, with which the summer program is designed. In the snow-free months, some pigs and goats romp on the ranch.
The lodge is located deep in the Salangsdalen valley, at the end of a small road. The few neighbors are farmers who produce milk here. The settlement Setermoen with the nearest supermarkets is located 35 kilometers to the north. Despite the lonely location, the provider via the airport Bardufoss is relatively easy to reach! The airport is just under an hour's drive away. For northern Norway a stone's throw! Narvik in the south is 98 kilometers away. The lodge consists of a residential building; a company building with workshop, dog food kitchen and bath / WC; a wood-fired sauna by the river; the two cozy cabins "Helge Ingstad hut" and "Eivind Astrup hut" and a lavvo (tepee). Experience a breathtaking time here!
