Wild & Luxury Dog Sledding: Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome in Iso-Syöte!
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation for the duration of your stay - the luxurious Hotel Iso-Syöte. Once you have checked in in the afternoon, settle into your comfortable hotel room where you will spend the first night. Afterwards, relax and perhaps catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights in the night sky before sinking into the comfort of your hotel bed.
Day 2: Your Dog Sled Adventure Begins!
After a delicious breakfast, your exciting 2-day dog sledding tour begins in the pristine, beautiful landscapes of Finnish Lapland. From frozen lakes to deep, snow-capped forests, you'll see breathtaking scenery throughout your journey. You will be taken to the Husky Farm to meet your personal dog sled team, and the dogs will be delighted to see you! Your guide will give you all the necessary instructions needed to keep you and your dogs safe and happy. Glide through the wilderness, listening to the skids of the sled and the paws of the dogs on the untouched snow cover. On the way, there will be breaks for coffee and snacks by an open fire. Once you arrive at the traditional wilderness hut, you will experience a true community feeling where the whole group will work together to get everything ready for the evening. The campfire will be kindled and the food prepared together as a group. There won't be any running water, but you can enjoy a traditional sauna and share your favourite memories of the day with each other whilst sitting by the burning campfire. With a little luck, you may see the magical Northern Lights dancing across the night sky.

Day 3: Back to Civilisation
Wake up to the excitable yelps of your enthusiastic huskies, eager to head out on the trails! Strengthen yourselves with a hearty breakfast before jumping on the curves of your sled, and get ready to dive into the wilds of Lapland. Enjoy the breathtaking views of this winter wonderland as you and your four-legged companions race through the snowy forests and explore the wilderness together. Stop for coffee and snacks by an open fire, and head back to the Husky farm in the late afternoon. Then sadly, it will be time to say goodbye to your beloved Huskies, whom you will surely remember fondly! After a short transfer, you will arrive back at Hotel Iso-Syöte, where you will spend your final night in a luxurious Aurora View Suite. Now you can relax and enjoy all the amenities the hotel has to offer! Swimming and sauna (inclusive for all hotel guests) and even some Arctic spa treatments (surcharge applicable) are available. Complete the day with a final night in your spacious suite.
Day 4: Departure
After a delicious breakfast, head back to the airport to begin your onward journey. You are guaranteed to take with you many treasured memories of your incredible experiences here, and will have plenty of fascinating tales to share with your loved ones!
Accommodation
During this tour you will spend the first night in a double room and the last night in one of the majestic Aurora View Suites at Hotel Iso-Syöte. Each of the ten exclusive suites is around 50m² in size and divided over two floors. On the first floor is a cosy sitting area (which can accommodate two more beds if necessary) and a private bathroom with its own sauna. On the second floor is another sitting area, bedroom with double bed and bathroom. The balcony has a private Jacuzzi so you can relax under the stunning Lappish sky and, if you're lucky, even catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis. The hotel's facilities include a bar, a restaurant with a la carte service and a buffet of Finnish and Lappish cuisine. In addition, the hotel has a swimming pool, 2 saunas, an ice sauna (included for guests of all room categories) and Arctic spa treatments (not included). During the husky safari you will be accommodated in the wilderness camp "Hanhilampi" with traditional kota and smoke sauna, situated on a private lake. Accommodation in shared rooms (no running water, no electricity).
Food
This tour includes breakfast every day. Coffee and cookies/snacks and meals while on the husky safari are also included.

This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc).
