Husky hike Finland: The itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
At the airport, you will be met and taken to the Hotel Iso Syöte in Syöte National Park. A breathtaking view awaits you on the way to the hotel and gives you a taste of the fantastic nature that will surround you in the days to come. In the evening, relax in your comfortable hotel room.

Day 2 - Day 7: Summer activities in Finnish Lapland
Start each morning with a hearty breakfast ready for some eventful days ahead! Many new experiences and adventures are waiting for you and the summer holds countless surprises!

Enjoy a canoe trip on the Pärjänjoki River; canoe in pairs along with a guide who will show you the beautiful nature of the north. Enjoy the silence, which is interrupted only by the paddle in the water and marvel at the unique landscape that passes by you. During this tour, you will have a break on the shore and enjoy your lunch by an open fire. Once you have finished your excursion, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Finnish this beautiful day in the spa and use the sauna or the pool to relax.

A Nordic walking tour takes you into the surrounding nature and keeps you active during your trip to Finland. This type of hike originated in Finland and uses 90% of the muscles in your body; a great way to keep healthy and to see different landscapes. Your guide will always be by your side, showing you the way and helping you to understand all about this beautiful country. The route takes you through the Syöte National Park past lakes, rivers and through green forests. Back in the hotel, you will have time to unwind and relax your muscles in the sauna.

The exciting Husky hike is imminent. Friendly and fascinating dogs welcome you at the husky farm and look forward to spending the day with you! They will give you an unforgettable experience on this day; each guest will be assigned a Husky who will accompany them on the hike. Start the husky hiking tour with a small backpack and dive into the vast forests of Lapland. Today's tour takes you some 12km to 15km through breathtaking nature and past impressive views. During this trip, relax around the campfire for lunch and build a bond with your husky. In the afternoon you will return to the husky farm and with a heavy heart, you have to say goodbye to your four-legged companion after this wonderful Husky trekking experience.

Finally, you will embark on a fishing adventure: in the small rivers and lakes in the area, there are countless small fish that frolic in the currents. The equipment will be prepared for you and you can look forward to a relaxing day. By car, you will go into the forest, and from there you will take a short hike to your fishing spot. Above all, enjoy the silence that surrounds you and the beautiful nature in the national park. A campfire invites you to relax and have a coffee. Back at the hotel, you will have some free time, which you can use for further explorations or relaxation.

Day 8: Departure
After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport. With countless new experiences and great memories that will last a lifetime, you will start the journey home and look back on this adventure fondly.

Accommodation
During this tour, you will spend your nights in the beautiful Hotel Iso-Syöte. With panoramic windows and views of the pristine forests around the Iso Syöte fjell. The rooms are comfortable, cosy and have two separate beds, a bathroom, TV, telephone and seating area. There is also space for an extra bed if required. Room upgrades are available upon request. The facilities of the hotel include a bar, a restaurant with an a la carte menu and a buffet of Finnish and Lappish cuisine. The use of the hotel's swimming pool and saunas is included for all hotel guests. Arctic spa treatments (not included) are also available.

Minimum number of participants: 2 persons.

Board
This tour will provide you with breakfast. Coffee and biscuits/snacks (sometimes lunch) are included during the excursions.

This tour is most suitable for adults and children over 14 years of age. The safety of our guests is our priority. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with strong temperature differences. Whilst we strive to follow our plans as closely as possible, we reserve the right to change the order of activities, the route of the safaris and the duration of the excursions if required.
