On this trip, you will encounter the far north from a variety of perspectives.
The Spectacular Norway in Winter: The Itinerary
Day 1: You're Heading North
On the first day, you will travel by a Dash 8 (propeller plane) from Tromsø to Sørkjosen. At a low altitude, you can fly over the impressive Lyngen Alps and get an incredible first impression of the Norwegian Arctic. The flight duration is around 25 minutes. At the airport, you will be met and taken to the Reisastua Lodge, which is located in the Reisa Valley. There, you can settle in before dinner is served at the restaurant. Afterwards, you will have your first Northern Lights experience, where you may be lucky enough to discover the impressive glow in the night sky.

After breakfast, a snowmobile tour awaits you today. At the beginning, you will receive important instructions on how to drive a snowmobile safely before you set off in pairs on one of the best trails in Norway. Feel the adrenaline and enjoy the unique views presented to you during the tour. After about 3 - 5 hours, head back to the lodge. The rest of the afternoon, you can enjoy the hot tub on the roof of the building and feel the pleasant warmth on your skin. Finally, you can look forward to a delicious dinner made from local ingredients.
Day 3: Ice Fishing & Northern Lights
Today, after a hearty breakfast, it's off again on the snowmobiles to head to a frozen lake. There, the equipment needed to drill holes in the thick layer of ice and pursue the traditional activity of ice fishing will be unpacked. Your guide will be there to give you advice and help you with any questions you may have. To warm you up in between, warm drinks and local snacks will be served by the fire. Afterwards, you will drive back to the lodge, where you can spend your afternoon as you like. For example, the hot tub is ready for your visit. After dinner, you will once again set out together in search of the Northern Lights.
Day 4: Spectacular return journey on Hurtigruten
In the afternoon, you will drive to Skjervøy where you will take the famous Hurtigruten to Tromsø (departure: 19:45 - arrival 23:45). On the Hurtigruten, you can enjoy a delicious dinner (price not included) while driving past the impressive Lyngen Alps. If you are lucky, you will see the northern lights dancing in the sky. Your journey will end here.

Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc).
