Day 2: Dog Sledding or Snowmobiling
After breakfast, you can choose between a dog sledding or a snowmobile tour. What adventure would you like to go on?
Dog Sledding:
At the start of this tour, your guide will give you an introduction to safety and teach you how to control your team of dogs. The energetic huskies are already looking forward to the upcoming tour and will enthusiastically pull you through the lovely Norwegian nature, surrounded by mountains and valleys. Upon your return to the basecamp, a warm lunch will be served, after which you will be taken back to your accommodation. 2 persons / dog sled
Snowmobile Tour:
The snowmobile tour also begins with a briefing before you drive through the breathtaking Arctic landscape. There are photo stops along the way and during a short break, hot drinks are served to warm you up. 2 persons / snowmobile
Please let us know which of the two activities you prefer when you make your request.
After an exciting day, you can look forward to a traditional Norwegian dinner and a dip in the outdoor hot tub. Perhaps you'll even spot the Northern Lights while relaxing in the warm water?
Day 3: Free day for your own winter adventures
Today, you can spend your time as you wish! You can explore the surroundings on snowshoes, skis, or on foot, or book one of the additional activities available for an extra charge (these have to be pre-booked). How about a moose safari on snowshoes or a course to learn the art of cross-country skiing? A guide will be on hand for both activities and will provide you with advice and support. In the evening, you will return to your accommodation and can end the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 4: Departure
Today, after breakfast, you'll sadly have to say goodbye to the Lyngen Alps and Northern Norway. A transfer will take you to Tromsø Airport or a hotel in the city. After three intensive days in the Norwegian wilderness, you'll take home many memories and impressions.
Accommodation:
During your short trip, you'll stay at Koppangen Brygger, which offers hotel rooms, apartments, and cottages. You'll also find a sauna and a hot tub there. The price is per person based on an en-suite double room with an occupancy of two people.
Important information:
Please note that children are only allowed to drive a dog sled themselves from a certain age (often 13 or older). This is always at the discretion of the guides. Driving a snowmobile is only permitted at the age of 18+ and with a valid driving licence. Children who aren't allowed to drive a dog sled or snowmobile can either join in the guide's sled or alongside their parents as passenger.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. Optional activities have very limited availability; we recommend booking them well in advance, often weeks or months before departure, as they may be fully booked by the time of travel.
