Northern Lights Trip to Swedish Lapland: the itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Swedish Lapland! You will be picked up on arrival at Airport Kallax (Luleå) or in Boden and can check into your cozy accommodation in the afternoon after about an hour's drive. Enjoy your first evening with a delicious dinner at the lodge and recover well from your travel day, as there is plenty to experience over the next few days.
The local travel services begin with arrival in the afternoon and dinner on the first day and end with breakfast and transfer on the last day.
All pictures of this partner Day 2: Northern Lights snowmobile tour
After a hearty breakfast, you can organize the day as you wish or book an additional activity (see "Extras"). In the evening, the first adventure awaits you: you go by snowmobile into the untouched wilderness, where the stars are close enough to touch in clear conditions and, with a bit of luck, you will experience the fascinating show of the Northern Lights. Two people share one snowmobile and take turns driving (you can drive a snowmobile alone for an extra charge). You will have a Swedish Fika (= coffee break) along the way and after around 3 hours you return to the lodge and can snuggle up in your cozy beds. You've earned a good night's sleep!
Day 3: Free day
Organize today as you wish! You can either book additional activities (see "Extras"), explore the area with a kicksled or simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet around you. Don't forget to keep your eyes open in the evening. As soon as darkness falls, you will also have the opportunity to see the magic of the Northern Lights from the lodge.
Day 4: Northern Lights snowshoe adventure
Well rested, you start the next day, which you can spend however you like. How about a relaxing massage, a private sauna session or a round of ice fishing? In the evening, strap on your snowshoes. They are one of the traditional means of transportation in Lapland. With a guide, you head out into the snow-covered countryside in search of the Northern Lights. Far away from light sources, you have optimal conditions for sighting the Aurora Borealis. You will be out for around 3 hours and will be provided with a Fika in between.
Day 5: Departure
After a last delicious breakfast, you will be taken back to the train station or airport. We wish you a pleasant journey home and many happy memories of an exciting time in the far north.

No problem, if available you can extend your stay by as many days as you like and add more activities. You can also upgrade your 2-course dinner to 3 or 5 courses if you wish. Accommodation:
You will be accommodated in a double room including a private bathroom in the cosy, newly renovated hotel at Sörbyn Lodge. In addition to a WC, shower, TV and free access to the hotel's Wi-Fi, your room offers a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. The price is per person, based on a minimum occupancy of 2 people.
For an additional charge, it is also possible to stay in a slightly larger, accessible family room with a sofa bed or a luxurious Lake View Cabin with panoramic windows. Please contact us if you are interested!
A third bed can be added for a child if required.
Note:
To drive a snowmobile yourself, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Children need to be at least 10 to sit on the snowmobile as a passenger. Younger children ride in the guide's sledge.

The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. Optional activities have very limited availability; we recommend booking them well in advance, often weeks or months before departure, as they may be fully booked by the time of travel.
