On this journey, you welcome the New Year like never before! Away from the hustle and bustle, you find yourself in the nature of Lapland to celebrate New Year's Eve in an old, traditional way. Instead of the loud bang at the turn of the year, you can enjoy peace, reflection and some winter activities. Take a look back at the past year and look forward to what the future may hold for you.

Traditional New Year in Lapland: Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Oulu / Kuusamo Airport, transfer to the hotel, where you will be greeted with a delicious home-made Finnish dinner. Today, you will also get information about the programme and warm clothes for low temperatures. Afterwards, it goes on a small tour of the accommodation. Explore the dreamlike surroundings and let this day end comfortably by relaxing in the sauna. The on-site travel services begin with dinner on the first day and end with breakfast on the last day.

Day 2: New Year's Eve
Enjoy the last day of the year to the fullest and spend it however you like. If interested, additional activities such as a husky tour or cross-country skiing can be booked at an additional cost. In the evening, head to a Kota for a traditional Finnish dinner. Review the past year by the warm fire, before welcoming in the new one with sparkling wine and star sparklers at midnight. With a bit of luck, the Northern Lights will appear in the night sky above you.

Day 3 - Day 7: Individual Programme
On these days you can relax, warm up in a hot smoke sauna (included on one afternoon) and cool down in an ice hole. You can also choose between various optional excursions (at extra cost).
Guided tours available include fat biking in the snow, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing or a visit to a reindeer farm. You also have the opportunity to take part in husky safaris or snowmobile tours of different lengths. Glide through the wilderness of Lapland and enjoy the breathtaking nature of the far north. Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. With newfound strength, you are ready for everything that awaits you in the new year.

Accommodation:
You will spend your nights in a cosy double room with its own private sauna. The hotel is built entirely of wood and conveys a traditional and authentic atmosphere. Located directly on Lake Jokijärvi, this is the perfect starting point for unique excursions. Each room has its own main entrance and a separate sleeping and living area, as well as toilet, shower, ​and sauna faciltities.
