Day 1: Arrival
You will be personally received at the airport in Arvidsjaur and taken to the Husky camp. There you can move into your cosy accommodation and get settled in and rested, ready for the upcoming Husky adventure week. Get to know the other guests and your hosts Kerstin and Andreas over a delicious traditional dinner.

Day 2: Introduction tour
For the next week you will not only be a guest of the husky camp, but as a team member you can experience the sled dogs in their element. After a hearty and lovingly prepared breakfast, you will learn how to handle dogs, sleds, leashes and harnesses. The theory part is immediately followed by practice: on an introductory tour you will familiarise yourself with sledding and get a first feel for driving and steering characteristics and working together with the dogs.
Day 3 - 5: Husky tours – your personal winter dream
After another hearty breakfast, you will be out and about with the speedy huskies from today onwards. You follow the trails through deep snow-covered forests, over frozen lakes and endless valleys of Nordic solitude. Enjoy this feeling of silence and freedom and keep your eyes open, because sometimes you will encounter capercaillies or discover fresh tracks of moose and arctic fox in the snow. The day tours bring you back to the camp in the afternoon, where you can end the day in the wood sauna. Try your luck at ice fishing or go exploring with snowshoes. In the evening, sit around the campfire with your hosts and listen to exciting stories over a delicious meal.
Day 6: Free time
You can organise the day according to your wishes. For example, you can go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, ice fishing or visit the sauna.
Day 7: Final tour
Your last tour will take you once again to the surrounding mountain ranges and you will experience the incomprehensible vastness of the landscape. If you wish, you can also do this tour as a night tour - you will be amazed at how bright the winter night can be.
Day 8: Farewell and Return Flight
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and your Husky experience week is over after seven unique and unforgettable days. Say goodbye to your faithful sled dogs and your friendly hosts before you are taken to the airport in Arvidsjaur. You will take with you many memories of exciting new experiences and the unique breathtaking landscapes of Swedish Lapland.
Shortened tour 5 days / 4 nights
On some dates, a shortened tour is offered. On this tour there is no day at leisure. After 4 nights and husky adventures on day 2, 3 and 4, the return transfer to the airport takes place on day 5.
Accommodation
You will be accommodated in cosy log cabins that sleep 2 people per cabin. The cabins are rustically designed and equipped with a small stove, kitchenette, a dry toilet and a veranda with stunning views over the lake. Toilet and shower facilities are located in the main house, about 50 m away.
Single supplement
Are you traveling alone? No problem! On this tour, you can choose the option "single room" (for an extra charge) and occupy a log cabin for yourself.
Clothing:
You can borrow overalls and thermal overshoes on site at no extra cost, but you should definitely bring your own well-fitting and comfortable winter clothing and winter boots.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay. For this reason, corona-related reasonable usage rules or restrictions may arise when using said services. Please note these official requirements (Google Translate). Show all dates
