You will get to fortify yourself with a hearty breakfast before an interesting and eventful day in nature! Today you will take part in a winter bushcraft course, a special survival training course tailored to the local climate and your surroundings. You will learn exciting things about life in the far north, and basic winter survival knowledge will be imparted. Throughout the day, you will experience this "back to basics" approach to life out in the open air and learn that you don't need much to survive in the wilderness and wintry nature. By the end of the day, you will be able to start a fire without a lighter, build a shelter, and recognize dangers! In the evening, you can relax and end the day comfortably with a delicious hot dinner.
Days 3 & 4: Two-day Snowmobile Safari
After a hearty breakfast, you will receive an introduction to driving a snowmobile (two people per snowmobile). You will then start the engines and feel the adrenaline course through your veins! You can expect two eventful days full of adventure as you explore the wild and varied landscape around you. This tour will lead you through wild and untouched nature, snow-covered winter forests, and over the Ansättfjäll - with fantastic views. Of course, we hope you will meet reindeer or elk during these two days! In the afternoon, you will reach the Jänsmässholmens Fjällhotel, where a 3-course dinner awaits you in the evening. Before that, however, you will visit the Sami with their reindeer to get an insight into their culture and way of life.
The next day, after breakfast, you will check out of Jänsmässholmens Fjällhotel and continue your tour through the breathtaking Swedish winter landscape. Once again, enjoy the boundless freedom you feel as you drive through snow and ice before returning to the farm. In the evening, you can regain your strength over dinner and talk about the new experiences you've made along the way.
Day 5: Ice fishing
On this day, take it easy. Akersjön, ideal for ice fishing, is right on your doorstep! You will be shown how to drill a hole through the thick layer of ice and unhook the line. On the bank, you can warm up by the campfire with hot drinks. With a little luck, you can catch a fish, grill it, and eat it right away. Use today to relax and enjoy the silence and wonderful views of the Arctic winter landscape while taking part in a traditional pastime.
Day 6: Dog Sledding Tour
After a hearty breakfast, the excited huskies of Jet Sleddogs will be waiting to greet you. Get acquainted with your own dog sled team and receive an introduction to dog sledding and safety. Next, you can pack up your sled and head out on an adventure with your new canine companions! You will learn everything you need to know to care for your huskies and get through the wilderness safely. Get on the bends of your sled and let your loyal companions pull you into the snowy landscape. You will quickly be amazed by the unreal silence and the beautiful nature. On the sled, you will cross deeply snowed-in forests and drive over frozen lakes and swamps. After the tour, the dogs will be taken care of together before it's time for your own dinner.
Day 7: Free day with optional snowshoe hike
Start the morning with a delicious breakfast. Today is yours to spend as you please. Enjoy the tranquility of Sweden and look forward to some time to yourself. If you like, you can book an optional snowshoe hike. In the evening, dinner awaits you again, where you can reminisce together about the beautiful moments of the last few days.
Day 8: Departure
After a last breakfast, you will say goodbye to your hosts and head back to Östersund Airport - taking with you unique memories of an unforgettable time in Sweden.
