Day 2 - 7: Husky tour, snowmobile safari, snowshoeing, sauna and Aurora Snow-Train
Start your days in the Lapland restaurant Aitta with an inviting breakfast buffet.
After that you go on one of the following 5 tours:
Tour 1: Dog Sledding
Huskies are among the most popular animals in the north and after today's trip you will understand why. These fluffy dogs love pulling loads and running through the woods on snowy trails. You can cuddle and take photos with them, listen to their stories and, as the highlight of the day, drive a team of sled dogs yourself. On a tour lasting about an hour, the dogs pull you through the beautiful winter landscape while you stand in the back of the sled as the musher (sled dog driver). This excursion lasts about 2 hours in total.
Tour 2: Snowmobile Safari
Are you ready for a ride into winter wonderland? The snowmobiles will take you to unusual places and allow you to experience Arctic nature in a completely different way. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way as you drive through snow-covered pine forests and across frozen swamps until you stop for a moment to enjoy a hot drink in complete silence. After about 2.5 hours you will return from your ride through the picturesque winter scenery.
Tour 3: Sauna experience at your doorstep
Just when you think Finns' love of saunas couldn't be any greater, this cute little sauna on skids appears at your doorstep. When you hear a knock on the door, you know the traditional Finnish sauna is ready to brighten your day. Grab a bunch of birch twigs, called "saunavihta" and step into the warmth of this unique wood-heated sauna for about 1.5 hours.
Tour 4: Northern lights hunt by snow train
In a warm carriage, you'll set off on a journey through the winter wonderland on a snowmobile train. You will head into the wilderness, far from artificial light, in search of the Northern Lights. After crossing the beautiful snowy landscape, you will reach a traditional Lappish kota, a small cabin deep in the wilderness. There you will gather around the campfire and enjoy snacks and hot drinks. An aurora expert will help you with camera settings to capture the Northern Lights. On this excursion, if you are lucky, you will experience Northern Lights, but also the beauty of the untouched snowy forest, darkness and silence. This tour takes about 3 hours.
Tour 5: Snowshoeing
Do you want to experience the fresh, clear air and untouched nature of Finnish Lapland? Then this is the right tour for you! With snowshoes you explore the snow covered surroundings and your guide will tell you stories and facts about the flora and fauna of the Arctic nature. You will also learn about the ancient way of life and the traditional use of ingredients from nature. The slow pace allows you to discover small details and take great photos. During the two-hour tour, your guide will serve you hot drinks.
Day 8: Departure
After a last delicious breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Lapland. A driver will take you back to the airport, from where you will start your journey back home with many new impressions and memories.
During the winter season from December to April, Finnish Lapland is a true winter wonderland where there is never a lack of activities. From dining at the beautiful Aitta restaurant to various adventures, you will definitely not be bored during your stay.
There is a giant tube slide on the premises that you can enjoy for free and a frozen lake right next to the resort, which invites you to take an afternoon stroll on its thick ice cover. There is a large bonfire in the courtyard that is lit every evening so you can relax there. Build snowmen, go sledding or just walk around the beautiful resort and take pictures - the list of possibilities is endless!

Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay.
