Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Kajaani Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the hotel. Check in to your cosy room and then explore the area. Let this day end comfortably, relax, and look forward to the upcoming adventures!

Day 2: Your First Sled Dog Tour
Start the day with a hearty breakfast and plenty of energy! Today, you will meet the excited huskies who are eager to start the adventure. A transfer will take you to the husky farm, where the sled dogs will be waiting for you. Your guide will discuss the programme for the next few days and you will be given warm clothes appropriate for polar temperatures. Afterwards, meet your husky team and learn the basics of driving a sled. As soon as you are ready, you can start a fantastic tour through the wilderness of Finland. Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty and magic of this remote place. This is a dog sled tour that takes you through a stunning snow-covered landscape where you can enjoy the silence and solitude, which is interrupted only by the paws of your huskies crunching on the untouched snow. Upon your return to the husky farm, the transfer will take you back to the hotel. Use the evening for a relaxing sauna session and unwind in the spa area.
Day 3: Leisure and Northern Lights Tour
After breakfast, use your free time to explore the area or take advantage of Vuokatti's wide range of activities. Later on in the day, you will start your unforgettable hunt for the Northern Lights! The huskies in your dog sled dog team will find it hard to contain their excitement and are more than ready to take you out again through the wilderness of Finland. Today's tour takes you some 20 km through forests and fields and over frozen lakes. Headlamps will illuminate your path as you approach your rest area as the sun goes down. Enjoy a meal in a traditional Mongolian yurt, which is the traditional abode of the nomadic shepherds. The cosy atmosphere makes this break on your sled dog tour a very special experience. Listen to the guides' stories and warm yourself up in the oven-heated yurt. With a little luck, you may even see the magical auroras dancing over the night sky above you. After this unique time out in the wild, you will return to the husky farm on a dog sled. A transfer will then take you back to your accommodation, where you can spend the evening in the comfort of your hotel.
Day 4: Another Husky Adventure in Scandinavia
On this day you can look forward to a 30 km long dog sled tour through the wide and wild landscape! Today you will head out with your own husky team, which will greet you with anticipation. Enjoy the silence and fantastic views throughout the trip, before taking a break in a traditional yurt and then heading back to the husky farm. Use the evening to relax in the spa area or end the day with drinks at the hotel bar.
Day 5: Free Day
Start your day with a hearty breakfast. This day is at your disposal and can be used however you wish! For example, you can opt for further exciting activities, go exploring in the surrounding area, or simply relax by unwinding in the spa — the choice is yours!
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport. From here you will begin your onward journey with many new experiences under your belt and incredible memories. This winter holiday will be remembered for some time to come!
Accommodation:
On this sled dog tour in Finland, you will be accommodated in the Hotel Vuokatti. You will move into a cosy yet stylish hotel room in an idyllic location on Lake Nuasjärvi. The hotel complex has free parking, a private beach, free Wi-Fi, spacious saunas with an outdoor pool area, and an a la carte restaurant with stunning views of the lake.
Board:
The winter vacation Finland tour will provide you with breakfast on all days. Coffee, snacks, and some meals are included during the excursions. There are three restaurants nearby the hotel where you can get lunch and dinner: Hella, Amarillo and Kippo. The lobby bar is open also 24/7 (drinks & snacks available).

18-23.02.23 - Traumurlaub
So eine Reise war schon immer unser Traum. Nun haben wir Sie gemacht und sind begeistert. Es war alles sehr gut organisiert. Auch das Flieger und Zug Verspätung hatten, war alles kein Problem. Die Kommunikation mit dem Hotel hat super funktioniert. Auch das unsere Koffer den Sprung von Helsinki nach Kajaani nicht geschafft hatten, war für die Mitarbeiter des Hotels kein Problem. Noch in der gleichen Nacht haben sie den Kontakt zu Finair hergestellt und sm nächsten Tag standen sie denn an der Information des Hotels. Das Hotel ist nett, liegt traumhaft. Die Zimmer sind gross genug und sauber. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls gut. Eine Abwechslung im Aufschnitt und Käse wäre wünschenswert. Der Service, wie schon erwähnt, einfach nur großartig und spitzenmässig. Die Huskytouren haben uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Gut war die kleine Gruppe, so bekam man Kontakt zu den Hundeführern und Fahrerinnen. Wir haben uns jederzeit aufgehoben und sicher gefühlt. Die Betreuung auch während der Fahrten war außergewöhnlich. Das die Landschaft atemberaubend ist, muss ich wahrscheinlich nicht erwähnen. An dieser Stelle nochmals vielen Dank an alle. Ich kann verstehen, daß die Finnen die glücklichsten Menschen der Welt sind!
