Far up in the north, near the Norwegian border, you can experience a winter holiday of a very special kind. Let yourself be enchanted by the magical surroundings of Lapland, and let this special way of life fill you with 'joie de vivre'. For the owners, the well-being of the animals is at the forefront of everyday life and leads to a happy and sustainable way of living. There is much to learn about life with these fascinating animals in the wilderness. This trip requires good riding skills in order to enjoy it to the fullest; so you should know how to step, trot, gallop, etc. The horses will carry you through the snowy forests of Finland, off the beaten track, and through the deepest snow for the most spectacular riding adventure Finland has to offer!

Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at the farm, you will be greeted by your faithful four-legged companions, who will be full of anticipation. Feel the special charm of this place and be mesmerised by its stark beauty. Spend this day at your leisure and relax in your own log cabin by a roaring fire.

Days full of adventure and beautiful views await you in Finnish Lapland. All the happiness on earth is on the back of a horse - an attitude to life that will accompany you throughout the journey and will also have a positive long-term impact. For your stay, some trips with the horses are planned, which will take you through the snowy winter landscape in Lapland. Enjoy the wonderful nature and the magic of this place. Take solace in the silence that surrounds you, which is only broken by the sound of your horses' hooves. This trip gives you plenty of time and countless moments to switch off and relax. You have the opportunity to take a trip into the wilderness with the husky sled. Get on the runners and let yourself be drawn into the beautiful and magical nature of the far north. On this tour, you will experience the surroundings from a different, exciting perspective and reconnect with nature. The focus is on training horses and the harmony that can be found in farm life. This also includes training in a loving and considerate relationship with the horses, as well as the basics in keeping and handling. Your experiences during this time will not only consist of rides but also in-depth experiences and a deep connection to these fascinating animals. You will actively be participating in everyday chores such as fetching water or lighting a fire, experiencing a truly authentic way of life in the Nordic wilderness. A way of life which harks back to days of old, without electricity or running water. Make yourself comfortable in your own log cabin and enjoy the silence in this remote location in the forest. In the evening, keep your eyes open, because with a little luck you will see the Northern Lights in the night sky.
Day 6: Departure
Say goodbye to your faithful four-legged companions and start the journey home with many new experiences under your belt! Leave with memories that will last you a lifetime - memories of the best riding adventure in the heart of Finland and a life-long philosophy of living in harmony with nature.

On this journey, you can also decide whether to swap one of your days of horse-riding activities for an exciting dog sledding experience. Spend a day on sleds with Huskies and get an authentic experience like no other! Effortlessly glide through the wilderness with your eager canine companions, darting through snowy forests and racing across frozen lakes before returning to your cosy cabin.
Requirements
Please note that this trip requires a good level of fitness. Similarly, you should have an interest in the animals on the farm and be willing to participate in the resulting farm work. You will need good quality polar temperature clothing and your own gear for this adventure trip. Experience in riding is required.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be in a private, cozy wilderness cottage, located near a river in the forest. Your cabin will have no running water or electricity. An oven with a hob is available. A double bed and a sofa bed can accommodate a maximum of 3 to 4 people.
Food
This adventure holiday does not include meals. Please note that your hosts need to focus on the daily tasks of the farm and that you will need to prepare your own meals. To buy the food, you can either rent a car or use a taxi to get to the local shop.

This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Dear all,
I have experienced one of the most beautiful and exciting week of my life enjoying the wilderness. Everything was just perfect, the cabin, the tours, the horse riding and of course my huskies. A very great thank you to Alex and Tinja for the outdoor overnight we had...was concerned about it but it was amazing, highly recommended. Will be back soon....that's sure!
