Hotel Laxnes

The Hotel Laxnes was founded by Albert Rútsson around 1970 and was the only pub in the town of Mosfellsbaer at the time. The hotel is built in the style of a cosy log cabin and has a direct view of Mount Esja.

Hotel Laxnes is located approximately 45 minutes from Keflavík Airport and only 20 minutes from Reykjavik city centre.

You can stay in standard double rooms, in a comfortable suite or in an apartment with self-catering facilities. The hotel will be happy to arrange the activities you desire. For example Glacier hikes, Northern Lights tours, various boat tours, fishing, visiting ice caves and much more!
