The best of Spitsbergen: The itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
The tour package begins with an overnight stay in a hotel in Helsinki. You check into the hotel in the afternoon and use the remaining free time as you wish. Perhaps you would like to explore Helsinki or relax in the sauna?

Day 2: Flight to Longyearbyen and embarkation
After breakfast, you will head to the airport and fly from Helsinki to Longyearbyen on Spitsbergen. Here you will be greeted by breathtaking nature and a transfer will take you to the ship. Embarkation takes place in the afternoon and you move into a cozy cabin. Settle in for the next few days and look forward to the adventures that lie ahead. Perhaps you will watch the ship cast off from the outside deck and leave civilization behind you.

Day 3 - 9: Explore and experience Spitsbergen
You start each day with a hearty breakfast and look forward to the unforgettable adventures that lie ahead. During the expedition, you will explore the west of Spitsbergen and the breathtaking fjords in the north - always on the lookout for wildlife and soaking up the pure nature. From arctic flora to gigantic glaciers, the natural landscape here is just as diverse as the wildlife. Each expedition is shaped by the weather and ice conditions and is unique, always with a focus on safety for all guests and crew members and with the aim of seeing the best of Spitsbergen. Possible places to visit include the 14th of July Glacier, Smeerenburg, Alkefjellet and the Hinlopen Strait. The destinations visited are chosen to provide the best wildlife viewing and at the same time convey the history and geology of Spitsbergen.
Photography enthusiasts will be in for a treat, as there will be countless opportunities for wildlife and landscape photography. As most of Svalbard's Arctic ecosystem is uninhabited and well protected, this remote archipelago is one of the best places in the world to spot polar bears against a stunning natural backdrop of mountains and ice. The towering cliffs of Alkefjellet are also home to thousands of guillemots. You might even come across a walrus and marvel at its serenity as it rests on a small strip of coastline. If you would like to admire the animals from the water, you can also book a kayak tour. We are certain that Svalbard will not only enchant you, but also surprise you. The tundra can be amazingly colorful in summer, with wildflowers blooming in the sun - wherever you look, breathtaking nature awaits. Day 10: Disembarkation and return flight to Helsinki
After a final breakfast, you will unfortunately have to say goodbye. Disembarkation takes place in the afternoon in Longyearbyen and a transfer takes you to the airport. The tour package ends with the flight to Helsinki. You will take countless unforgettable adventures and memories home with you.

The travel package starts with an overnight stay in a hotel in Helsinki including breakfast and ends with the flight from Longyearbyen to Helsinki. The tour price includes not only the overnight stay in the hotel on day 1, the flight from there to Longyearbyen and the return flight to Helsinki on day 10, but also the transfer from Helsinki to the airport and the transfers on Spitsbergen between the airport and the ship. Please note that only breakfast is included in the hotel overnight stay in Helsinki.
