Short break with Northern Lights and whales in Uløybukt: The itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the Arctic Panorama Lodge
After your arrival in Tromsø, you will be transferred to the Arctic Panorama Lodge at 15:30. In just three to four hours, the journey will take you through a stunning landscape, which will already get you in the mood for the days ahead. On the final leg, you will board a ferry to the island where the lodge is located. Once there, you will check into your comfortable double or twin room. A delicious dinner will be served in the evening.

Catering starts on day 1 with dinner and ends on day 4 with breakfast.

Day 2: Whale Watching and Stories in a Lavvu Tent
Your day begins with a hearty breakfast before a 3- to 4-hour whale-watching safari. You'll embark on a boat in search of whales in their natural habitat. Enjoy the impressive views of the coastal waters and hopefully spot the sea giants breaking through the waves. After returning to the lodge and taking some time to rest, you'll gather in a traditional lavvu tent and listen to captivating stories about the history of the island and the indigenous Sami people.

Day 3: Free day for own activities and relaxation
After breakfast, you can plan your day according to your own ideas and preferences. You have free access to the spa, where you can relax in the sauna or jacuzzi. Various massages and skin care treatments are available for an additional fee. Alternatively, you can explore the surrounding area on your own and get to know the island a little bit better. The lodge also offers many different activities, such as dog sledding, snowshoe hikes, or snowmobile tours for an extra charge. In the evening, you might be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights. You will receive an alarm at check-in, which will notify you when conditions are favorable.

Day 4: Farewell and Departure
You will enjoy a final breakfast and then, sadly, bid farewell to the beautiful lodge and island. A transfer takes you back to Tromsø , which you will reach at around 14:00. There, you can continue your journey home or plan further travels in Norway. The memories of the colourful Northern Lights, the majestic whales, and the relaxing hours at the lodge will surely stay with you for a long time.

Accommodation:
During your trip, you will stay in a double or twin room with private bathroom (shower & WC) at the Arctic Panorama Lodge. The lodge is situated on the island of Uløya. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi. The spa area of the lodge with sauna and jacuzzi provides additional relaxation. Culinary delights await you in the restaurant, where all meals are prepared with fresh, regional ingredients. Single rooms or a Superior Room are also available upon request. Arctic Panorama Lodge offers a variety of additional activities that you can add either through us or on-site. These range from a Northern Lights boat safari to dog sledding and snowshoeing by day or night. Due to availability, we recommend booking in advance.
