Finnish Northern Lights Magic in Kuusamo: The itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
After you have flown from Erfurt to Kuusamo, you will transfer to your hotel. Here, your tour guide will introduce you to the rest of the group. Your guide will tell you some interesting facts about the region and brief you on the plan for the coming days. The large spa with sauna and three pools is available for use every day.

Day 2: Meet Santa's Village
After a hearty breakfast, drive with your guide to Rovaniemi — the official home of Santa Claus! Spend the day here and visit, among other things, the Arktikum Museum (guided tour and admission included). In the afternoon you will get to know the enchanting Santa Claus village on the Arctic Circle.

Day 3: Reindeer farm visit with reindeer sleigh ride
After breakfast, we will drive to the reindeer farm where you will learn all about the animals and the importance of reindeer for the region. Take a short reindeer sleigh ride to admire the breathtaking scenery that passes by. In the evening you can relax in the indoor wellness area with a swim and sauna.

Day 4: Snowshoe hike through a snowy landscape
Today after a rich breakfast buffet, you will head out on a snowshoe hike through snowy forests and over frozen lakes. This has been a traditional mode of transport in the region for centuries and is a fantastic chance to experience the fascinating nature at a slower pace. The hike starts and ends at your hotel.

Day 5: Free day
Today is for you to spend at your leisure. If you wish, you can take part in a guided snowmobile tour (self-drive). The ride is perfect for those with a sense of adventure! Enjoy an adrenaline rush as you race across icy meadows and snow-covered forests.

Day 6: Visit a Huskyfarm
Strengthen yourself with a hearty breakfast for this eventful day at the nearby Huskyfarm. Enjoy the tranquility and beautiful views on a 5 km long husky tour through the wilderness of Finland. Complete this day in the sauna or in the pool. If you want, you can try a truly authentic and traditional sauna experience with an ice bath in the lake!

Day 7: Free day
Enjoy a final free day which you can spend however you wish. Relax at the hotel, or opt for some additional activities or excursions.

Day 8: Farewell
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kuusamo Airport and begin your onward journey. As you leave, you will take with you many new experiences and plenty of unforgettable memories of your time here!

Accommodation: Accommodation is in a comfortable 4-star hotel located in the north of Finland between Ruka and Kuusamo. This family-friendly hotel resort is conveniently located to Kuusamo city centre and the ski slopes of Ruka. You will stay in double rooms, family rooms, or spacious apartments. All hotel rooms and apartments have a shower and WC, telephone, satellite TV and a hairdryer. The apartments have 2 bedrooms and a private sauna. The hotel has two restaurants, a bar/lounge, plus a fitness and indoor spa area with three pools and a sauna.

Meals: 7 x breakfast buffet

Additional Bookings: Comfort Package (only bookable with front door transfer Hin & Rück Region A, 7x dinner as a cold-warm buffet in the hotel, a 20km snowmobile ride (1 or 2 persons per sleigh, incl.
