Survival training in Sweden: The itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival at Östersund airport, you will be met by your hosts. On the way to the base camp, you are already marveling at the magical nature of Sweden and looking forward to the adventures ahead. You will move into your accommodation and meet your guide. The day will then come to a close with a lovely dinner together. On-site catering starts with dinner on the first day and ends with breakfast on the last.

Day 2: Start of the Bushcraft Course
You will fortify yourself with a hearty breakfast because today your survival training in arctic Sweden begins. Learn various techniques, such as how to make fire, how to build a fireplace, and safety techniques in the use of knives, axes, and saws. Likewise, there is a first introduction and examples of different shelters and protection possibilities in the free wilderness. Afterwards, you can warm up at the base camp and share what you've learned over dinner.
Day 3: Departure to Bushcraft Camp
After breakfast, you will set off into the wilderness on snowshoes. It's time to put all you've learned into action. You will hike to the Fjällspirit Bushcraft Camp and first practice setting up camp. The kitchen is dug out, a shelter is made, and the igloo is built. An exciting day under the open sky in arctic Sweden awaits you.
Day 4: Fishing and camp construction
On this day, you will learn new skills once again. Food procurement is in the foreground, and fish traps are set. The further construction of the camp also does not come too late and is on this day's program.
Day 5: Return to Base Camp
Strengthen yourself with breakfast before spending another day in a breathtaking environment. The camp will be dismantled, and once again you will head into the wilderness on snowshoes. You explore the winter landscape of Sweden and follow your guide back to the base camp. Here you will end the day relaxing and warming up with a tasty dinner.
Day 6: Day at leisure
This day is at your free disposal and can be arranged according to your own interests. Relax by the fireplace with a good book or go on an additional excursion for an extra charge (for example, ice fishing or a husky hike).
Day 7: Snowmobile Safari and Sami Culture
Your last day in the far north will be adventurous. You will travel by snowmobile through the Ansättfjäll, where you will explore the surroundings and different landscapes. In the evening, you are invited by a Sami to a traditional, cozy Lavvu tent for a typical Sami meal. There, you can also look forward to a special reindeer encounter.
Day 8: Departure
You will be transferred back to the airport by your hosts, equipped with lots of new knowledge. This special experience will stay in your memory for a long time.
Accommodation
Four nights are spent in cozy cottages equipped with all the necessary comforts. Designed for 4–6 people, each has two sleeping lofts for 2 people, a sofa bed for 2 people, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The other three nights are spent in the Bushcraft Camp without running water or electricity.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay. For this reason, corona-related reasonable usage rules or restrictions may arise when using said services. Please note these official requirements (Google Translate).
