Short vacation in northern Norway: The itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
From Tromsø, you take the Senja Direct bus to Mefjord Brygge in the afternoon. The journey takes you through impressive landscapes and gives you a taste of the Arctic beauty you will experience in the coming days. After your arrival in Mefjord Brygge, you will move into your comfortable room or apartment with a view of the sea. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant, where you will be served traditional Norwegian dishes. Use the evening to explore the surrounding area or relax in your cozy accommodation. Weather permitting, you may even be able to watch the Northern Lights directly from your accommodation. Alternatively, you can book a sauna session (one session is included) or take a short walk through the picturesque village to get your first impressions of your surroundings.
Day 2: Boat trip and Northern Lights safari
Your first adventure awaits you on the second day: after a hearty breakfast, you set off on an exciting Arctic Boat Safari. During this approximately three-hour boat tour, you will explore the coastal landscape and have the opportunity to observe wild animals. The boat offers comfortable indoor seating as well as overalls for the outdoor areas. After lunch, you will have some free time to explore the surroundings, hire snowshoes or relax in the sauna. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you, followed by an exciting presentation about the Northern Lights. Afterwards, you will go on a guided Northern Lights safari to the best observation spots, where you can experience the magical Aurora Borealis in its full splendor. With a bit of luck, you will be able to admire the dancing lights in the sky and take impressive photos of this spectacular event.
Day 3: Snowshoe hike and free time
After a hearty breakfast, you have the opportunity to take part in an optional activity, such as a husky safari or a snowmobile tour. These experiences offer you the chance to experience the region's wild nature up close. Enjoy lunch together before using the free time in the afternoon to explore the surroundings on your own or relax in your cozy accommodation. In the evening, you will go on a guided night hike with snowshoes in search of the Northern Lights. Your guide will not only show you the best spots, but also tell you exciting stories and traditions of northern Norwegian culture. Depending on the weather conditions, the tour can also take place during the day to enjoy the impressive landscape.
Day 4: Departure
On the last day of your trip, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast before it is time to pack your bags and say goodbye to the beautiful surroundings. The Senja direct bus will take you back to Tromsø, where you can start your journey home or extend your stay in Norway independently, with many new impressions and unforgettable memories of the Arctic wilderness and the magical Northern Lights.

Mefjord Brygge offers comfortable accommodation in hotel rooms or small and larger cabins, most of which are located directly by the sea. Each accommodation is tastefully furnished and offers all modern conveniences. The accommodations are ideal for enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains and fjords and allow you to watch the Northern Lights right outside your door, provided the sky is clear.

In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc).
