A perfect trip for nature lovers! Your very own husky team will take you through the vast wilderness of Canada over frozen lakes and through snow-covered forests. Enjoy this break from the stresses of everyday life and absorb the peace and beauty of nature. You can expect fantastic excursions and restful nights in a cosy lodge on this tour.
Day 1: Arrival
After arriving at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel in Whitehorse. Here you will have the opportunity to do some final shopping. You can have dinner in one of the restaurants in the town. You will then depart for your first fascinating Northern Lights adventure. In a heated, cozy cabin or in a tent with tasty snacks and hot drinks, you have the unique opportunity to marvel at the mystical Northern Lights. You will be taken back to your hotel at around 2:00 am.
Day 2: Gold Rush - Dawson City
Today you fly to the world-famous Gold Rush town, to the historic part of Dawson City. Your flight departs from Whitehorse early in the morning and your hotel shuttle bus will take you to the airport around 1.5 to 2 hours before departure. When you step off the plane in Dawson City, you will be greeted by a long-time resident and local expert on culture and history. Dawson City is located at the mouth of the confluence of the Klondike and the mighty Yukon rivers. The city is world-renowned for its gold mining culture, modern mining economy, vibrant tourism and arts scene and stunning scenery. Upon arrival, check into your hotel in downtown Dawson City.
Now the real adventure begins. After dinner, you have the excellent opportunity to experience the impressive Aurora Borealis in the late night sky. To do this, you will be taken to a ranch where you will enjoy the silence of the Yukon winter nights in small groups and familiarize yourself with the land and the stories of the people. Warm up in the cozy yurt with snacks and hot drinks and become a true aurora hunter!
Day 3: On the trail of the prospectors
Every day in the community of Dawson City holds new experiences for you. After breakfast, experience the rich history of the Gold Rush and Tr'ondek Hwech's on a tour of the town and goldfields. Later, get an in-depth look at the lives and history of Dawson City's residents during a historic walking tour of some of the city's oldest buildings. Step into an indescribable world of adventure with beautiful scenery, mystical stories and warm hospitality. After dinner, you have another good chance to marvel at the beautiful Northern Lights in Dawson.
Day 4: Today we go to Whitehorse
Today you have the opportunity to explore the city on your own. As you are staying right in the city center, you can easily reach everything on foot after breakfast. In the afternoon you will be taken to the airport to fly back to Whitehorse. The free airport shuttle bus will take you to your hotel. Afterwards, another night of aurora opportunities starts at the Northern Tales Trading Post. After hopefully marveling at the magnificent Northern Lights, you will be taken back to the hotel.
Day 5: Transfer to the husky adventure
Today you start your husky adventure. After a first meeting with your second hosts in the hotel lobby, you will have time to do some last-minute shopping before your short husky vacation. A warm meal awaits you at the Sky High Lodge, which you can enjoy in a cozy atmosphere. Get to know the excited huskies and let your anticipation infect you! Your adventure begins with instructions about your sled and safety during the tour. Your four-legged companions can hardly wait to pull you into the Canadian wilderness surrounded by beautiful nature. End this first day in the cozy lodge with a delicious dinner.
Day 6: Fish Lake Area
Fortify yourself with a hearty breakfast and look forward to an eventful day with your huskies. Today's tour takes you approx. 35 km through the breathtaking and captivating nature of the Yukon. Discover the surroundings in the Fish Lake area and be enchanted by the beauty that surrounds you. Back at Sky High Ranch, you have the opportunity to warm up in a hot sauna and share your experiences with the other tour participants. Round off the day with a snowshoe hike (unguided) and keep your eyes peeled: with a bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the magical Northern Lights. Replenish your energy reserves with a delicious dinner.
Day 7: Into the wilderness with the huskies
A new day with a delicious breakfast, exciting experiences and fantastic views awaits you. Look forward to a 20 to 30 km tour in the Fish Lake area! Enjoy the breathtaking surroundings one last time and take in all the impressions - you will remember them for a long time. After this last husky tour, make your way back to town to the Best Western Gold Rush Inn, where you will receive your musher's diploma.
Day 8: Departure

Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay.
