Adventure Week in Lapland: the itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
After your arrival at Kittilä airport or Kolari train station, you will be transferred to Hotel Jeris (approx. 45 min transfer time). During the drive you can already marvel at the impressive nature that will surround you over the next few days. You will move into a comfortable double room or your own log cabin (at an extra charge) and round off the day with dinner in the hotel restaurant. The local travel services start with dinner on the first day and end with breakfast on the last day.

Day 2: Reindeer experience and Northern Lights workshop
Enjoy a nice long breakfast and look forward to the adventures that lie ahead. Today after a short bus transfer, you will arrive at a traditional reindeer farm with a 100-year-old farmhouse and a museum about the breeding of the animals. On an approx. 3 km long sleigh ride, pulled by a reindeer, you will experience the snow-covered landscape from a special perspective and get very close to Rudolf and his friends. Back at the hotel, an afternoon full of exciting stories and information about the Northern Lights awaits you. During a workshop, you will learn everything you need to know about the natural spectacle and listen to the myths of the indigenous people of Lapland. Afterwards, reflect on the day over dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Day 3: Dog sledding adventure and Sámi culture
After a varied breakfast, you can look forward to a very special excursion on this day, as the fascinating huskies are already waiting for you full of anticipation. After greeting your own sled dog team, you will receive all the important safety instructions and a briefing on driving a dog sled. Now get on the runners and let the hard-working four-legged friends pull you into the wilderness. From your sled, you have the best view of the team and the breathtaking nature that passes you by. You only hear the paws on the snow and can enjoy the silence that surrounds you. You share a sled in pairs and have the opportunity to take turns during the approx. 15 km tour. Back at the hotel, you can warm up and then enjoy a traditional dinner by the open fire, which is served in the restaurant by the lake or in a traditional kota hut with an open fire. After dinner, listen to live music and hear the stories behind the rhythms and melodies of traditional Sami songs.
Day 4: Snowmobile safari and traditional fishing
Another day begins with a delicious breakfast. In preparation for today's snowmobile safari, you will receive all the necessary safety instructions for driving a snowmobile. Start the engines and follow your experienced guide into the Finnish wilderness. Two of you share a snowmobile (you can have your own snowmobile for an extra charge) and set off on a tour through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes and swamps. On this day, you will experience the dramatic and wild landscape north of the Arctic Circle with plenty of adrenaline. At a lake, you will learn traditional fishing with a net and have a picnic by an open fire. Back from this adventurous excursion, you can enjoy your dinner at the hotel and warm up in the hotel sauna or relax in your cozy room.
Day 5: Day at leisure and Northern Lights snow train
All meals are served as usual in the hotel restaurant. This day is at your free disposal and can be arranged entirely according to your own ideas and wishes. Relax with a good book or in the hotel sauna in the afternoon, explore the surrounding area on your own or book other exciting activities (see "Extras"). In the evening, you will be pulled onto the frozen lake in the heated Aurora Snow Train and set off in search of the mystical Northern Lights. At an open fire far away from any other light pollution, you can keep an eye out for the dancing lights in the night sky.
Day 6: Snowshoe hike and Arctic Sauna World
After breakfast, you will be taken to the nearby Pallas National Park by minibus, which is known for its breathtaking scenery and fantastic views. Strap on your snowshoes and follow your guide on an exciting hike. You will walk past trees covered in deep snow and hike higher up the fell to catch the most beautiful view and breathe in the cleanest air. The wild nature will quickly cast a spell over you and leave a lasting impression. In the afternoon, visit the Arctic Sauna World. Here you can relax and recharge your batteries in four different saunas. If you want to refresh yourself, you can try winter swimming in the ice pool. Dinner is served at the hotel.
Day 7: Day at leisure
Your last day in the far north is at your leisure, so you can spend this time as you wish. Additional activities and excursions can be booked. All meals are served in the hotel restaurant. In the evening, you will be served a special dinner with Finnish delicacies and local dishes. Indulge in memories and let this day come to a relaxed end.
Day 8: Departure
After a last hearty breakfast, the transfer will take you back to Kittilä Airport or Kolari train station. You will take with you the memories of your week of adventure in Lapland, which you will not soon forget.
Accommodation:
You will spend your winter week in cozy rooms equipped with wooden furniture and a private bathroom with hot water shower. This allows you to experience the authenticity of Lapland without having to do without the comforts of home. For an extra charge, you can book your own log cabin with private sauna or another room category for your stay in the far north (see "Extras"). Please contact us if you are interested. The price refers to accommodation in a double room with a minimum occupancy of two people.
Important information:
The tour is suitable for children aged 4 and over. Children under the age of 13 are generally not allowed to drive their own husky team. This is always at the discretion of the guides. Children who are not allowed to drive themselves ride in the guide's sled. To drive a snowmobile, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Children under the age of 13 ride in a sledge behind the guide's snowmobile. The price includes insurance for the snowmobile with an excess of €800 per snowmobile. For an additional fee of €20,- per person/stay the excess can be minimised to €400,- per snowmobile. Please let us know if you would like this.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period.

Es hat uns sehr gut in Lappland gefallen und wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Leider haben wir keine Polarlichter gesehen, das nächste Mal klappt es vielleicht. Der Guide von HARRINIVA hat seine Sache sehr gur gemacht. Es war für uns eine wunderschöne Woche mit vielen unvergesslichen Momenten.

Hallo, es war ein Wundervoller Urlaub. Vom ersten Tag der Betreuung bis zum nach Hause fliegen hat alles reibungslos geklappt. Schnelle Antwortzeiten, Spezialwünsche wurden umgesetzt. Das Rahmenprogramm wurde vom Hotel verschoben, was uns am Ende besser gefallen hat. So konnten wir uns in Ruhe steigen und an die Kälte -34 gewöhnen. Kleine Gruppe mit 5 anderen, einen Guide der auf alle Wünsche eingegangen ist. Habe lange nicht so viel gelacht wie bei Ihm. Als Tipp für alle Unerfahrene. Jegliche Art von Brille hat bei uns versagt. Diese liefen nach 2x Ausatmen direkt an und froren fest. Vielleicht wäre eine Skibrille von Vorteil -nicht probiert. Eine sehr gute Gesichtsmaske mit Buff drunter ist von Vorteil, mit der Zeit friert der Atmen an und die Maske wird mehr und mehr zum "Panzer". Versagen der Elektronik ist das grösste Problem für alle diejenigen, die ihre Eindrücke festhalten möchten. Handy 10min im Stand, Gopro hero 6 18min Hundeschlichten, Spiegelreflex Kamera 21min imStand . Genügend Akkus mitbringen und nah am Körper tragen. Polarlichter konnten wir geniessen. Bitte vorab über die richtige Kameraeinstellung informieren. Taschentücher im Maxipack, es wird die Nase laufen. Würde die Anbieter weiter empfehlen und auch wieder buchen. Danke für den tollen Urlaub

Das Angebot hielt was es versprochen hat. Wunderbare Touren, alle perfekt organisiert, absolutes High light war die Ausfahrt mit den Huskys, so freundlich, so schnell, so ein spannender und traumhafter Ausflug, auch weil das Wetter fantastisch war! Das Hotel ist schon etwas abgewohnt, die Hütte in der wir wohnten aber war sehr gemütlich und herrlich gelegen.Das Personal sehr nett, das Essen reichlich und sehr schmackhaft. Der Ausblick von der Saunalandschaft ist atemberaubend. Diese Reise kann man gerne jedem empfehlen.

Wir waren zu 5...Eltern+Kind 9 Jahre und Grosseltern und durften eine fantastische Reise erleben. Die Organisation war sehr gut...angefangen von den Informationen vor der Reise bis hin zu einem erstklassigen reibungslosen Ablauf der ganzen Reise...großes Kompliment an den Veranstalter. Unsere Hütte war super gemütlich, wenn auch etwas weit weg vom Haupthaus...was aber den Vorteil hatte, dass man das viele gute Essen bei einem Spaziergang gleich wieder verdauen konnte. Die Hütte hatte eine eigene Sauna, welche wir auch gerne genutzt haben nach den schönen Schneeschuh-,Ski-, Husky- oder Schneemobiltouren und einen Kamin. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön an einem See gelegen und weitläufig und auch für Kinder schön gestaltet. Es gibt einen Snowtube-Tunnel und überall stehen Schlitten...unser Kind war rundum die Uhr beschäftigt und hat den vielen Schnee genossen. Auch die Ausflüge mit unserem Guide Toini haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Alles in allem war es wirklich ein rundum gelungener Urlaub, welcher leider viel zu schnell vorbei war und an dem wir gerne zurückdenken. Vielen Dank an HeyHusky...wenn wir wieder mal eine Skandinavien-Reise buchen wollen, werden Sie sicherlich unser Ansprechpartner sein.

Absolut gigantisch und empfehlenswert. Die Reise war seit langem das Beste, was mir passieren konnte. Wer das perfekte Maß an Ruhe, einer unendlichen Weite der Natur, die Liebe zu den Tieren und den Abenteuerspaß sucht, der ist hier genau richtig. Für mich war es die perfekte Mischung. Vielen Dank dem Reiseteam für die super Organisation und die unkomplizierte Buchung. Bei Rückfragen wurde auch immer sehr schnell geantwortet und auch die Beratung zu den unterschiedlichen Reisen war sehr hilfreich. Vor Ort mussten wir uns um nichts kümmern, wurden herzlichst begrüßt und rundum versorgt. Die Guides sind um jeden Reisenden äußerst bemüht und kümmern sich um jedes noch so kleine Problemchen, was auftreten könnte. Man ist auf jeden Fall in sehr guten Händen und kann den Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen. Ich kann die Reise nur jedem empfehlen, der den Winterspaß sucht, gerne einmal mit Rentieren und Huskys unterwegs sein möchte und trotz eines ereignisreichen Tages nachts noch Polarlichter suchen gehen möchte - das ist tatsächlich ein Naturspektakel, dass man live gesehen haben muss. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und meinen kleinen Hundetrupp besuchen. Bis bald hoffentlich.

Eine wunderschöne Reise! Der veranstalte Hey Husky hat alles sehr gut organisiert und von der ersten Anfrage bis zum Ende wurde sich um alles gekümmert. Auf individuelle Wünsche wird eingegangen und man versucht alles, diese auch zu realisieren. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Einfach nur WOW, eine unvergesslich schöne Reise in ein traumhaftes magisches Land. Die Aktivitäten, Unterkunft alles war einfach super. Tolles abwechslungsreiches Programm, klasse Guides, leckeres Essen. Der Veranstalter Hey Husky macht einen super Job und es war alles perfekt organisiert. Die Landschaft, Menschen, Natur ist unbeschreiblich. Ein richtiger Traumurlaub!

Ich hatte eine unvergessliche, traumhafte Woche im Hotel Harriniva inkl. einer Nacht in einer Wildnishütte. Ganz alleine angereist traf ich auf eine tolle Gruppe. Wir hatten zusammen schöne Erlebnisse wie die 2-tägige Hundeschlittentour, die Schneemobiltour und einen Tag auf der Rentierfarm mit einer abenteuerlichen Schlittenfahrt. Auch konnten wir die Nordlichter bestaunen. Alles in Allem ein perfekt organisierter Urlaub mit authentischen Guides und dazu noch fast perfektes Wetter mit einer spektakulären Nordlichtshow. Perfekter geht es nicht. Vielen Dank für den fantastischen Urlaub! Ich empfehle heyHusky sehr gerne weiter.
