Huskies Short Break in Yukon: Itinerary
Day 1: First Adventure in the Snow
After a first meeting in the hotel lobby, you will have time for any last-minute purchases before your short break. At the Sky High Lodge, you will be greeted with a warm meal and get to know your travel group in a cosy atmosphere. Then meet the excited Huskies, who will be eagerly waiting for you. Following a safety briefing and an introduction to dog sledding, you will get on the sled and let your four-legged companions pull you into the vast wilderness. After your first husky tour, return to the lodge and warm up for dinner. Let the day fade and relax by the fire.
Day 2: Jackson Lake
Strengthen yourself with a hearty breakfast, because on this day you can expect some exhilarating new experiences! Today's tour takes you 35km through the beautiful Yukon countryside to Jackson Lake. Enjoy your break to the fullest and take in the tranquility and beauty of the landscape. In the evening, round off the day with a sauna session. Keep your eyes open for a chance to see the Northern Lights!
Day 3: McIntyre Mountain Tour
Another day in the beautiful Yukon, which you will spend on the curves of your husky sled. Start your day with a hearty breakfast and look forward to today's tour. Explore an old mining road and follow it up to McIntyre Mountain. Keep your eyes peeled, as you will be surrounded by interesting wildlife! Back at the Sky High Lodge, take care of your Husky team and meet for dinner to discuss the day's experiences.
Day 4: Bonneville Lake and farewell
Today's Husky Tour takes you west of the lodge to Bonneville Lake. Impressive views and a wonderful nature experience characterise this day, making memories that you will not forget in a hurry. With a heavy heart, you will have to say goodbye to your faithful Huskies after this excursion and will be taken to the Best Western Gold Rush Inn, where you will receive your Musher diploma.
Day 5: Departure
With many new exciting experiences under your belt, you will leave for your onwards journey, taking fond memories with you of your magical time here.

Accomodation: For the duration of your stay you will be accommodated in cosy rooms where you can enjoy both a refreshing shower and a hot sauna. At the end of your tour, you will spend one last night at the Best Western Gold Rush Inn in Whitehorse. All meals are included, except breakfast in Whitehorse on the first day and dinner in Whitehorse on the seventh day.
Requirements: Please note that the dog sled tour requires a reasonable level of fitness. Special winter boots are already included in the tour price, high-quality outdoor winter clothing can be borrowed. Please let us know when booking if you would like to rent any items of clothing.
