After a hearty breakfast, it's time for you to meet your Alaskan Huskies! After your safety briefing, you will be able to get to know the friendly and excited dogs that will be taking you and your companions along a fantastic 25km trail. During the trip, we will stop for a lunch cooked over an open fire, and you will have time to take in the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding wilderness. Returning to Madejärvi, you will have some time to feed and care for your four-legged friends to reward and thank them for their hard work. Then it will be time to eat together and unwind around the log cabin fire.
Day 3 - 5: Your amazing husky week
Over the next few days, you will glide below snow-capped mountains, whisk through pine, spruce and birch forests, cross open wetlands and sled over frozen lakes. Discover the Fjell-Lapland region with its fairytale winter landscape, one of the most beautiful in Finland. In the evening you will return to the rustic log cabin and here, far away from artificial light sources, you will have the best chances to see the legendary Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis. In the midst of the famed Pallas Ylläs National Park, you will stop by the open fire for lunch, take care of your trusted dogs and experience tasks like chopping wood and fetching water from the clear rivers and lakes, as a beautiful community task. Warm-up at the cosy wood-burning stove or relax in the sauna in the evening. Dinner from the Finnish family kitchen is served in a traditional Kota. You will spend the last night in the cosy cottage in Rauhala.

The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips.
