Best of Northern Lights: Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up from Kittilä airport or Kolari train station and make your way to Muonio (transfer takes about 1 hour). After a delicious dinner, you can relax in your comfortable and cosy double room.
Day 2: A special dinner in the snow restaurant
Start the day with a balanced breakfast. Today, you have free time to get to know the surrounding area and try out exciting activities (see "extras"). If you prefer, you can take it a little easier and relax in the hotel's sauna. Lunch will be served in the hotel restaurant. The highlight of the day is a visit to a snow restaurant in the evening, where a special 6-course menu awaits you for dinner. The unique snow art never ceases to amaze visitors!

Day 3: Northern Lights Snowmobile Tour
After a hearty breakfast, you can spend the day according to your personal wishes and, if you like, book an additional activity. Lunch is also included. In the afternoon, you will learn everything about the fascinating Northern Lights and its origin in a workshop. Afterwards, you can apply your newly acquired knowledge, as you go on an exhilarating experience chasing the Northern Lights by snowmobile! Your guide will have sourced the best location for spotting the lights which should hopefully get you close to the stars and above any clouds, giving you the very best view possible of this breathtaking display. The safari is based on two sharing a snowmobile (1 person / snowmobile possible for a fee).
Day 4: Aurora Borealis Reindeer Safari
Today, you will spend another day at leisure after breakfast and, if you like, book an additional activity. Lunch is also included. After dinner, your guide will escort you to a local reindeer farm, where you'll climb on sleds and then be driven deep into the mysterious wilderness - far from any light pollution so you can see the Aurora Borealis dancing in the arctic sky.
Day 5: Northern Lights Snowshoe Adventure
Today, many arctic leisure activities are waiting for you again. After you have slept in, you can spend the day as you like. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Snowshoes are a traditional form of transportation in Lapland. In the evening you can try it for yourself! With a guide, head out into the wild to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights (with a bit of luck). Out in nature, you will have optimal conditions for the sighting of the Auroras.
Day 6: Chasing the Northern Lights by car or minivan
Organise your day with traditional additional activities or relax at the hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are again served in the hotel restaurant. In the evening, you will set off by car or minivan in search of the Northern Lights. Your guide will use the latest weather and Northern Lights forecasts to head for the best vantage points for observing the magical natural spectacle. During the 3-hour tour, a hot drink will keep you nice and warm. Even if the Northern Lights do not appear, it is a very special feeling to explore Lapland at night.
Day 7: Husky Tour through the Nature of Lapland
After a hearty breakfast, you will go on a husky tour today. First, you will receive an introduction to driving a dog sled so that you are well prepared for your adventure. The dogs will greet you happily and can hardly wait for the tour to start. Immerse yourself in the boundless freedom of Lapland and enjoy the pleasant tranquillity that comes with you on the 8 - 12 km journey. Finally, dinner concludes the eventful day.
Day 8: Departure
After one final delicious breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kittilä airport or Kolari train station for your onward journey, taking with you amazing memories of your time chasing the Northern Lights in the frozen wonderland of Lapland.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is available in various categories to suit your requirements. Stay at the Hotel Harriniva in the popular double rooms or in your own log cabin in Jeris. All facilities have running water, electricity and private bathrooms. The price refers to accommodation in a Harriniva double room with a minimum occupancy of two people.
Suitability:
Please note that a valid driving licence and the minimum age of 18 are required to drive a snowmobile. Those aged 15+ can join their parents as passenger.
Important Information:
In order to drive a snowmobile, you must hold a valid driving licence. The rate includes the insurance for the snowmobile with a self-liability of max. €1200 per snowmobile / driver.

The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period.

Es hat uns sehr gut in Lappland gefallen und wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Leider haben wir keine Polarlichter gesehen, das nächste Mal klappt es vielleicht. Der Guide von HARRINIVA hat seine Sache sehr gur gemacht. Es war für uns eine wunderschöne Woche mit vielen unvergesslichen Momenten.

Hallo, es war ein Wundervoller Urlaub. Vom ersten Tag der Betreuung bis zum nach Hause fliegen hat alles reibungslos geklappt. Schnelle Antwortzeiten, Spezialwünsche wurden umgesetzt. Das Rahmenprogramm wurde vom Hotel verschoben, was uns am Ende besser gefallen hat. So konnten wir uns in Ruhe steigen und an die Kälte -34 gewöhnen. Kleine Gruppe mit 5 anderen, einen Guide der auf alle Wünsche eingegangen ist. Habe lange nicht so viel gelacht wie bei Ihm. Als Tipp für alle Unerfahrene. Jegliche Art von Brille hat bei uns versagt. Diese liefen nach 2x Ausatmen direkt an und froren fest. Vielleicht wäre eine Skibrille von Vorteil -nicht probiert. Eine sehr gute Gesichtsmaske mit Buff drunter ist von Vorteil, mit der Zeit friert der Atmen an und die Maske wird mehr und mehr zum "Panzer". Versagen der Elektronik ist das grösste Problem für alle diejenigen, die ihre Eindrücke festhalten möchten. Handy 10min im Stand, Gopro hero 6 18min Hundeschlichten, Spiegelreflex Kamera 21min imStand . Genügend Akkus mitbringen und nah am Körper tragen. Polarlichter konnten wir geniessen. Bitte vorab über die richtige Kameraeinstellung informieren. Taschentücher im Maxipack, es wird die Nase laufen. Würde die Anbieter weiter empfehlen und auch wieder buchen. Danke für den tollen Urlaub

Das Angebot hielt was es versprochen hat. Wunderbare Touren, alle perfekt organisiert, absolutes High light war die Ausfahrt mit den Huskys, so freundlich, so schnell, so ein spannender und traumhafter Ausflug, auch weil das Wetter fantastisch war! Das Hotel ist schon etwas abgewohnt, die Hütte in der wir wohnten aber war sehr gemütlich und herrlich gelegen.Das Personal sehr nett, das Essen reichlich und sehr schmackhaft. Der Ausblick von der Saunalandschaft ist atemberaubend. Diese Reise kann man gerne jedem empfehlen.

15.02.2020-22.02.2020 - Wunderschöne Reise mit perfekter Organisation
Wir waren zu 5...Eltern+Kind 9 Jahre und Grosseltern und durften eine fantastische Reise erleben. Die Organisation war sehr gut...angefangen von den Informationen vor der Reise bis hin zu einem erstklassigen reibungslosen Ablauf der ganzen Reise...großes Kompliment an den Veranstalter. Unsere Hütte war super gemütlich, wenn auch etwas weit weg vom Haupthaus...was aber den Vorteil hatte, dass man das viele gute Essen bei einem Spaziergang gleich wieder verdauen konnte. Die Hütte hatte eine eigene Sauna, welche wir auch gerne genutzt haben nach den schönen Schneeschuh-,Ski-, Husky- oder Schneemobiltouren und einen Kamin. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön an einem See gelegen und weitläufig und auch für Kinder schön gestaltet. Es gibt einen Snowtube-Tunnel und überall stehen Schlitten...unser Kind war rundum die Uhr beschäftigt und hat den vielen Schnee genossen. Auch die Ausflüge mit unserem Guide Toini haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Alles in allem war es wirklich ein rundum gelungener Urlaub, welcher leider viel zu schnell vorbei war und an dem wir gerne zurückdenken. Vielen Dank an HeyHusky...wenn wir wieder mal eine Skandinavien-Reise buchen wollen, werden Sie sicherlich unser Ansprechpartner sein.

Absolut gigantisch und empfehlenswert. Die Reise war seit langem das Beste, was mir passieren konnte. Wer das perfekte Maß an Ruhe, einer unendlichen Weite der Natur, die Liebe zu den Tieren und den Abenteuerspaß sucht, der ist hier genau richtig. Für mich war es die perfekte Mischung. Vielen Dank dem Reiseteam für die super Organisation und die unkomplizierte Buchung. Bei Rückfragen wurde auch immer sehr schnell geantwortet und auch die Beratung zu den unterschiedlichen Reisen war sehr hilfreich. Vor Ort mussten wir uns um nichts kümmern, wurden herzlichst begrüßt und rundum versorgt. Die Guides sind um jeden Reisenden äußerst bemüht und kümmern sich um jedes noch so kleine Problemchen, was auftreten könnte. Man ist auf jeden Fall in sehr guten Händen und kann den Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen. Ich kann die Reise nur jedem empfehlen, der den Winterspaß sucht, gerne einmal mit Rentieren und Huskys unterwegs sein möchte und trotz eines ereignisreichen Tages nachts noch Polarlichter suchen gehen möchte - das ist tatsächlich ein Naturspektakel, dass man live gesehen haben muss. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und meinen kleinen Hundetrupp besuchen. Bis bald hoffentlich.

Eine wunderschöne Reise! Der veranstalte Hey Husky hat alles sehr gut organisiert und von der ersten Anfrage bis zum Ende wurde sich um alles gekümmert. Auf individuelle Wünsche wird eingegangen und man versucht alles, diese auch zu realisieren. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Einfach nur WOW, eine unvergesslich schöne Reise in ein traumhaftes magisches Land. Die Aktivitäten, Unterkunft alles war einfach super. Tolles abwechslungsreiches Programm, klasse Guides, leckeres Essen. Der Veranstalter Hey Husky macht einen super Job und es war alles perfekt organisiert. Die Landschaft, Menschen, Natur ist unbeschreiblich. Ein richtiger Traumurlaub!

Ich hatte eine unvergessliche, traumhafte Woche im Hotel Harriniva inkl. einer Nacht in einer Wildnishütte. Ganz alleine angereist traf ich auf eine tolle Gruppe. Wir hatten zusammen schöne Erlebnisse wie die 2-tägige Hundeschlittentour, die Schneemobiltour und einen Tag auf der Rentierfarm mit einer abenteuerlichen Schlittenfahrt. Auch konnten wir die Nordlichter bestaunen. Alles in Allem ein perfekt organisierter Urlaub mit authentischen Guides und dazu noch fast perfektes Wetter mit einer spektakulären Nordlichtshow. Perfekter geht es nicht. Vielen Dank für den fantastischen Urlaub! Ich empfehle heyHusky sehr gerne weiter.
