Day 1: Departure into nature
After a first meeting in the hotel lobby, you will have time to make any final purchases before your short husky vacation begins. At Sky High Lodge you will find a warm meal waiting for you to enjoy. Get to know the excited huskies that will await you with eager anticipation! Your adventure begins with instructions on your sled and a safety brief. Your four-legged companions cannot wait to move into the wilds of Canada surrounded by beautiful nature. Let this first day end in the cosy lodge with sauna and a delicious dinner.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and look forward to an eventful day with your huskies. Today's tour takes you through the breathtaking and captivating nature of the Yukon. Explore the Fish Lake Area and be mesmerized by the beauty that surrounds you. Back at the Sky High Ranch, you will have the opportunity to warm up in the roof sauna and to share experiences with the other participants. Keep your eyes peeled – with a bit of luck, you'll catch a glimpse of the magical Northern Lights.
Day 3: Trip to the wilderness
A new day with exciting experiences and fantastic views awaits you. Look forward to a tour through untouched wilderness! Enjoy the breathtaking environment one last time and absorb your surroundings – you will remember them for a long time to come. After this final husky tour, head back to town to the Best Western Gold Rush Inn, where you'll receive your musher's diploma.
Day 4: Departure
A transfer will take you back to the airport, where you will start your journey home. With you, you will take many experiences and fond memories. Return well-rested and with new energy back into your everyday life with wonderful experiences to reminisce on.
Accommodation:
This adventurous journey brings you closer to the natural, simple life in the far north. During this short getaway, you will be housed in rustic, traditional accommodation. Step back in time when dog sleds were used as a means of transport and there was no running water or electricity. Leave civilisation behind for a little while and immerse yourself in the life of a musher. Cooking together by the open fire, chopping wood, and fetching water will be among your daily tasks. There is no running water or electricity at Sky High Wilderness Lodge, but you can leave your electrical appliances to charge in the evening. Light is generated traditionally with gas and completes the cosy atmosphere. The dry toilets are located outside in the open air, and a washing facility serves as the camp shower. The price refers to the accommodation of a double room. At the end of the tour, spend the last night at the Best Western Gold Rush Inn in Whitehorse (shared double room) before returning home. All meals are included, with the exception of breakfast and dinner in the hotel in Whitehorse.
Requirements:
Please note that the Yukon Sledge Dog Tour requires a minimum level of fitness. The boots you need during your trip will be provided by us. You must bring your own high-quality outdoor winter clothing OR let us know beforehand if you wish to rent any items of clothing.

You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Es war ein phantastisches Abenteuer in einer traumhaft schönen Landschaft. Das Team um die Tour ist immer freundlich und professionell gewesen. Die Hunde sind toll und man bekommt schnell einen sehr innigen Kontakt zu ihnen. Auch die Verpflegung war hervorragend. Der Aufenthalt im Zeltcamp war sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber auch ein großes Abenteuer. Einfach ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!
