Husky Adventure in Finland: Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
After your arrival at the airport or train station, you will be taken to the hotel, which will particularly impress you with its beautiful location in the middle of Lapland's snow covered nature. End the first day with the beautiful view from your hotel, keep your eyes open for the Northern Lights and look forward to your dog sledding adventure.

Day 2: Your personal adventure in the far north
After a delicious breakfast, you can start the day as you wish! Book another activity of your choice (see “Extras”) or explore the surroundings on your own. The Arctic Spa invites you to discover the various saunas and pools so that you can end the day feeling relaxed and refreshed. In the evening, it's worth taking a few steps into the darkness or taking part in a Northern Lights activity. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to experience this natural spectacle up close.


Day 3: On a dog sled through Lapland
Fortify yourself for an eventful day with a hearty breakfast. You drive to a nearby husky farm, where the dogs greet you full of anticipation and can hardly wait to set off into the wilderness with you. You will receive an introduction to dog sledding and then get on the runners of your sled in pairs. You will take turns driving along the way. Today's tour takes you approx. 12 km through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes through the Finnish countryside. There will be breaks along the way so that you can change drivers and take photos. After returning to the husky farm, say goodbye to the happy dogs and enjoy a relaxing end to the day back at the hotel.

Day 4: Departure
After a final rich breakfast, you return to the airport, train station or a hotel in Rovaniemi, Oulu or Kuusamo. You will have many indescribable memories of your dog sledding adventure in Finnish Lapland in your luggage.

Accommodation during your husky adventure:
Included for this trip is the accommodation in a Reindeer Room (standard double room), with panoramic windows and views of the pristine forests surrounding the mountains of Iso-Syöte. The rooms are modern, comfortable and have two separate beds, bathroom, TV and seating area. There is also room for an extra bed if required. Room upgrades to unique, incomparable suites are available on request (see “Extras”). The hotel facilities include a bar, restaurant with à la carte service and buffet of Finnish and Lappish cuisine. Access to the Arctic Spa with pool, sauna, steam bath and whirlpool is included. Spa treatments can be booked for an additional fee.

Catering:
This tour includes breakfast. Half board can be booked in addition. At lunchtime you can eat in the hotel restaurant or in a small ski restaurant at the foot of the mountain. There is also a small mini-market with a limited selection of groceries.
