With the sailboat, you will travel to the beautiful Lyngen Alps through majestic fjords. You will experience Norway not only from the water, but also on skis. Glide down the mountains, marvel at the fantastic views, and collect unforgettable memories during this skiing experience. Snow-covered mountains reaching approximately 1,800 meters stretch into the sky here north of the Arctic Circle and offer the perfect view of the countless surrounding islands. Mild temperatures and perfect snow conditions await you here from mid-March to early May. Slope angles are mostly below 25-30 degrees over glacier plateaus, but you can reach up to 40 degrees and deep powder snow if you opt for gorges and steeper lines.
Day 1: Arrival
At Tromso Airport, you will be greeted and taken to the ship. You will also be warmly welcomed on board by the crew, your luggage will be taken care of, and you will settle into a cozy cabin. The retrieval of rented equipment (if necessary) will be carried out. After a tour of the sailboat, you will receive safety instructions from the skipper and guide. And then the adventure can begin: you leave the harbor, set sail, and head to the first anchorage / ski area. Dinner concludes this first day and gives you the opportunity to get to know all the participants.

Day 2 - 7: Ski & Sail
You start each day with a hearty breakfast. During this time, you also discuss the conditions, daily planning, and make the final choice of location for skiing. You will experience 4-8 hour ski tours daily and have full flexibility to select / change spots according to prevailing weather and snow conditions. An experienced ski guide will accompany you during the tours. Back on board, you will be welcomed with nourishing après-ski snacks and have some time to relax until dinner. During dinner, you reminisce about the day's experiences and exchange with the group. The daily sailing time ranges from 1 to 3 hours depending on the conditions and desired ski area. From the boat, you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding fjords, and the outer deck provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy.
Day 8: Departure
After a final breakfast together, it is unfortunately time to bid farewell to new guests and the crew. Back at the port of Tromso, you disembark from the boat in the morning with unforgettable memories of your time in Norway.
The Sailboat
Your sailboat for the week is the Varuna, a state-of-the-art sailboat from Garcia Shipyard, a 22-meter (73-foot) aluminum sloop designed for unlimited range passages. As a centerboarder with shallow draught (4.7m - 1.3m), it can reach the most protected anchorages, making it a versatile and comfortable yacht. The aluminum construction - with a hull thickness of 10mm - and the highest standard deck fittings, rigging, and sails allow you to venture into the most remote areas. Maintained to the highest safety standards and equipped above the Offshore Special Regulations (OSR) Category 1 standards of World Sailing (formerly ISAF). Equipment selection and maintenance services are overseen by world-class skipper and owner Lionel Lemonchois.
The number of guests is limited to 6, ensuring comfort, personalized attention from the crew, and unrestricted use of amenities. A small group allows flexibility and smooth processes during embarkation and disembarkation, maximizing time spent on land.
The four double cabins are cozy with bespoke wooden interiors, warm and welcoming, each with en-suite bathroom and shower. Individual heating, lighting, and power supply. The boat has been modified with a spacious deck saloon offering a 360-degree view of the surroundings. The inner hull is thermally insulated, providing excellent protection against humidity and external temperatures, and reducing energy consumption. Two independent and redundant heating systems ensure stable interior temperatures with individual cabin controls, as well as heated air for drying clothing and gear in dedicated lockers. The first mate and chef spoil you with a full breakfast, après-ski snacks, and a 3-course dinner featuring local specialties.
