"Pallas Husky is a family business and has specialized in dog sledding with Alaskan Huskies since 1993 through the snow-covered, beautiful landscapes of Pallas-Ylläs National Park."
The owners grew up in Lapland and speak German and English, so there are no communication problems. Our team includes two native wilderness guides for whom your satisfaction comes first. They will do everything they can to make your stay memorable.
Pallas is 20 km north of Rauhala, Levi is 30 km west and Ylläs 40 km south. Kittilä Airport is 45 km away. During the polar night, at the beginning of December, the dog sledding season starts and lasts until the end of April, when it is almost light all night long.
The tours are carried out without the assistance of a snowmobile, so you experience pure nature. The maximum of the group size is eight people, which allows individual care. On the snowy trails you can feel the breath of the wilderness. They drive over the Lapland Fjells with their fairy-tale snow-covered trees, which bend under the snow load to the ground. This landscape in the National Park is considered the most beautiful in Finland.
After a short time of getting to know each other, the four-legged friends build trust in you and you to the dogs. This creates a very special team spirit! Although the dogs do not race, they are descended from the same breeding lines used in Alaska for long-distance races, such as the well-known Iditarod. There are 55 adult huskies living in the complex who are part of the family and treated accordingly.
