Are you longing for a special break and would like to experience the far north in its pure beauty? Then this weekend trip with huskies is just the thing for you! You will go on a husky safari, can choose out of countless other adventures (see "Extras") and you have the chance to see the Northern Lights.
Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Swedish Lapland! You will be picked up on arrival at Luleå Airport or in Boden and can check into your cozy accommodation in the afternoon after about an hour's drive. Enjoy your first dinner on site and recover well from your travel day, as there is plenty to experience over the next few days.
The local travel services begin with arrival in the afternoon and dinner on the first day and end with breakfast and transfer on the last day.

Day 2: Husky tour through the Swedish wilderness
After a hearty breakfast, you will drive to a nearby husky farm, where you will be greeted by the joyful barking of the dogs. You will get an introduction to the dogs and a safety briefing from your guide, before it's time to meet your team and prepare for the ride. The dogs are harnessed and you take your place on the sled, ready to steer the team. Two of you share a sled and take turns driving. For refreshment, there is a Swedish "fika" with hot drinks and snacks. The tour lasts around 2.5 hours before you return to the hotel for a relaxing end to the day. Don't forget to walk a few meters in the dark after dinner to keep an eye out for the Northern Lights!
Day 3: Day at leisure: snowmobile, reindeer and northern lights
After a delicious breakfast, you will start in a new day that you can organize just as you wish! Many more adventures await you (costs depending on the activity, see "Extras"). From further husky tours to exciting snowmobile rides, a visit to a Sami family and their reindeer, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice and snow sculpting to Ayurvedic treatments and private sauna sessions, everything Lapland has to offer is possible! You can also grab a kicksled and explore the area on your own. The hire of a kicksled is already included in the accommodation.
Another highlight are the various aurora activities - with a bit of luck, you can experience this incomparable natural spectacle up close. You will certainly never forget the sight of the dancing lights in the starry sky of Swedish Lapland.
Day 4: Departure
After a last delicious breakfast, you will be taken back to the train station or airport. We wish you a pleasant journey home and many happy memories of an exciting time in the far north.
You haven't had enough yet and would like to stay a few more days to relax or experience more adventures? No problem, if available you can extend your stay by as many days as you like and add more activities. You can also upgrade your 2-course dinner to 3 or 5 courses if you would like to. Just get in touch with us!
Accommodation:
You will be accommodated in a double room including a private bathroom in the cosy, newly renovated hotel at Sörbyn Lodge. In addition to a WC, shower, TV and free access to the hotel's Wi-Fi, your room offers a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. The price refers to one person with a minimum occupancy of 2 people.
For an additional charge, it is also possible to stay in a slightly larger, accessible family room with a sofa bed or a luxurious Lake View Cabin with panoramic windows. Please contact us if you are interested!
A third bed can be added for a child if required.
Note:
To drive a snowmobile yourself, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Driving a dog sled is usually possible from the age of 13 (at the discretion of the guides). Young children ride in the guide's sledge on husky tours and snowmobile safaris.
Additional Information:
The order of tours and activities within this itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and other contributing factors that must be taken into account by the guides when planning your tour. You will receive the exact order of activities once you arrive on site. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. The safety of guests and animals comes first, and for this reason, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and intensity of activities if and when needed. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay. For this reason, corona-related reasonable usage rules or restrictions may arise when using said services. Please note these official requirements (Google Translate). Show all dates
