Day 1: Ushuaia, Argentina

Day 5 to 8: Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands
The first attractions to welcome you in Antarctica are the icebergs. These massive, drifting colossi become more frequent as you approach land, and you catch your first glimpse of the peninsula with its majestic, snow-covered mountains. In addition to the icebergs, you will likely spot Adélie penguins relaxing on ice floes, as well as minke or humpback whales feeding and swimming in the icy waters. As soon as possible, the Zodiacs will be prepared for your first landing on the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. Experiencing this vast wilderness up close for the first time can be an impressive experience. The silence is great, the expanse even greater. Fortunately, the loud locals – penguins and seals – are there to remind you that this wonderful landscape is not just a dream. Your expedition team will monitor the ice and weather conditions to determine which landing sites can be visited. Day 9: Disembarkation and Fly to Punta Arenas

With the vast expanse of the Drake Passage now lying ahead, you’ll disembark and have the opportunity to spend a little time on King George Island, soaking in the last moments of this unique environment. From there, you’ll board a flight that will take you to Punta Arenas, Chile. Upon arrival in Punta Arenas, we’ll ensure a smooth transition by transferring you from the airport directly to your hotel. On the tenth day of your journey, it is time to pack your bags and prepare for the journey home.
