Sami and Reindeer Experience

Discover the Arctic winter world in a truly traditional way: on a reindeer sleigh ride along the frozen Alta River, you’ll feel the crisp winter air on your face and immerse yourself in a breathtaking landscape of snow and ice. This experience combines nature and culture, whilst offering you an authentic insight into the Sámi way of life. You will be accompanied by an experienced Sami guide, who will tell you more about Sami culture and traditions. A particular highlight is the storytelling in the traditional lavvu (tent), which brings the atmosphere of this semi-nomadic community to life. Hot drinks and snacks are included, as is the rental of snow trousers. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours in total. We recommend wearing a warm base layer and mid-layer under your snowsuit.
