Explore the wild of Swedish Lapland with dog sleds and Alaskan huskies.
Pure wilderness that can be reached quickly and easily by direct flights from Stuttgart. With a German-speaking guide and the best opportunities for Northern Lights!
Experience a dog sled ride in the vast wilderness of Swedish Lapland. Your Alaskan Husky team will take you through the breathtaking nature of Sweden and over time you will get to know the different personalities of the fascinating huskies. Together as a well-rehearsed team, you will explore the wondrous arctic nature for three days. If you are looking for a real wilderness adventure and want to experience the thrill of a polar winter, then this unique tour is for you! The huskies are always full of excitement and raring to go, but they soon fall quiet when they begin to run, focused on the task ahead. On the dog sled, in the quiet, enchanted snowy landscape, you can only hear the skids grinding and the paws of the huskies crunching on the untouched snow.
The Wild Swedish Lapland: The itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up from the airport and taken to your accommodation, where you will spend the first night. In the evening, relax and look forward to the eventful days ahead. In the evening, enjoy a cosy dinner and get to know your small travel group.
Day 2: Your Big Day
Start your first husky tour with Torsten, your German-speaking guide. You will make your way through the dense forest and over frozen swamps and lakes. The route is approximately 25km long and will take you and your trusty huskies to a traditional wilderness hut. Settle down here and spend your first night in the wilderness. First, take care of the huskies - the dogs get a well-deserved dinner and straw so they can make themselves comfortable. Then there are shared chores for the group, such as making a fire, fetching water from the lake, and preparing dinner. The authentic wilderness tour includes traditional Swedish cuisine such as reindeer and moose.

After feeding the huskies and eating your own breakfast, the second breathtaking tour begins. Today will be mostly uphill, which means you will need to support your husky team at times and push the sled along. If the weather is good, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view. Your daily goal is again, to make it to the next wilderness hut. This too is close to nature, without electricity or running water. Alternatively, you can explore the area on a dog sled on this day and return to the same hut at the end if you prefer. You can decide as a group depending on the weather and availability of the various huts. No matter which tour you choose, an unforgettable adventure awaits you. Back at the hut, your evening routine begins again - it's time to feed the huskies and prepare the evening meal as a group. Keep your fingers crossed - with a little luck, there will be a fresh catch from the lake.
Day 4: Return from the wild
Before you return to your camp from the wilderness on the last day, you can once again enjoy the breathtaking and snow-covered landscape of Swedish Lapland from a dog sled. During a delicious dinner, you can reminisce about all the exciting experiences together and the highlights of your tour.
Day 5: The Farewell
After breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye - to your four-legged and two-legged friends. Your host will then take you to the airport with new experiences and unique memories in your luggage.
Accommodation: You will spend the first and last night of your stay in the guest house, which offers cosy multi-bed rooms with loft beds. During the wilderness tour, you will sleep with the other tour participants in huts or tents without running water and electricity. No single or double room options are available. The group consists of a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4 people. You must be aged 18 or over.
Additional Information:
The safety of our guests and animals is our top priority on all of our tours. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. Whilst we strive to follow the planned trails as closely as possible, we reserve the right to change the order of activities, the route of safaris, and the intensity of the excursions should the needs of our guests or animals necessitate it, or if the weather conditions compromise our pre-planned route. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period. The service providers and tour providers always perform their services in compliance with and in accordance with the official requirements and requirements applicable at the time of stay. For this reason, corona-related reasonable usage rules or restrictions may arise when using said services. Please note these official requirements (Google Translate).
