Dreamlike Northern Lights experience near Tromsø: The itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival in Tromsø, you will be taken by minibus to Nord-Lenangen at 16:00. During the two-hour transfer, you will be enchanted by the surrounding nature and marvel at the winter landscape with its impressive fjords. In your accommodation, you will receive a warm welcome with a delicious hot dinner and end the evening at a Northern Lights workshop. Get to know all about the magical Northern Lights and learn how to capture them best with a camera.

Day 2: Snowshoeing along the coast to Lyngstuva
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and look forward to the upcoming adventures of your Norway getaway! Head out into the wilderness on a snowshoe hike to Lyngstuva and discover the untouched nature of Northern Norway. The path will lead you along the coast to the northernmost end of the Lyngen peninsula. Enjoy the spectacular views that will accompany you during this hike, from dramatic fjord landscapes to snow-capped islands and the open icy sea. In the afternoon you will arrive back at the hotel where you can relax. Take advantage of the included one-time use of the jacuzzi, relax in the sauna and round off the day in comfort after dinner. And don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights!

Day 3: Snowmobile safari in untouched nature
Strengthen yourself with a delicious breakfast, ready for a day full of adventure! Today, you will explore Norway on a snowmobile, but before you start on your tour, you will receive the equipment and all the important information about safety and driving a snowmobile. You then set off in pairs into the impressive winter wonderland of the far north and can capture the surroundings in photos during stops along the way. After these exciting 2 hours, you will return to your accommodation, where you can rest until dinner. In the evening, you will go on a guided snowshoe hike, which will give you the perfect opportunity to observe the Northern Lights. In the wilderness, far away from articifial light sources, you will look for a place with a great panoramic view and, under good conditions, have the best view of the natural phenomenon.

For an extra charge, you can swap the snowmobile tour for a safari on a dog sled. Please contact us if you are interested!

Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, it will sadly be time to say goodbye to this special place in northern Norway. Enjoy one last look at the wild nature during your transfer back to the airport. You will not forget this trip in a hurry and we are sure you will remember your time here fondly! You will leave with many new experiences under your belt and fascinating stories to tell your loved ones when you arrive home.

You can also opt to extend your trip by one day and book additional activities, such as whale watching (until 15.01.), cross-country skiing, a visit to a distillery, a husky or another snowmobile safari. The accommodation XLyngen is located at the northern end of the Lyngen peninsula, in the town of Nord-Lenangen and is the perfect starting point for your activities and excursions. Directly on the sea, you can expect breathtaking views and a cosy retreat during your eventful winter journey. Escape everyday life for a while in this remote place and enjoy the peace and quiet! The price refers to the accommodation in a cabin or apartment with an occupancy of 2 people. You will receive a small discount for an occupancy of 3 persons or more. Food:
Breakfast, afternoon coffee or tea with snacks and dinner are served in the restaurant, which stands on poles in the fjord. Mainly regional ingredients are used when preparing local traditional meals. Lunch is provided as a packed lunch.

Important information:
To drive a snowmobile, you have to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving licence. Children ride with the guide, depending on their age and height.
