Husky Wilderness tour back to basics: the itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at camp
You will be warmly welcomed by your hosts in the wilderness camp, and together you will prepare the camp for the evening. Such tasks for getting camp ready include chopping firewood, fetching water from the lake, and preparing dinner. These tasks are all carried out together as a team. In the evening you and the other participants cook over the open fire, making dishes such as a traditional "musher pan" with elk bacon. After eating, the crackling of the fire in the middle of the tent gently lulls you to sleep with a full belly.
Day 2: Your dog sled adventure begins!
Before breakfast, it's time to start the stove. Once it's nice and hot, you can make a hearty breakfast and coffee with the rest of your group. Give yourselves time to wake up and get ready for the exciting day ahead! You will start a guided tour through the Elk Park, where you will get acquainted with Sweden's wildlife and learn all about the native flora and fauna. In the park, you will have the unique opportunity to feed and pet reindeer and moose as well as to admire grey wolves. After visiting the moose park, another visit to a farm of about 40 Huskies will follow. You will be greeted joyfully by the cuddly huskies and immediately feel their urge to move. Before the sled dog tour, you return to the camp again and strengthen yourself with a delicious meal. After a detailed briefing, it will be time to glide on the skids of your sled through picturesque, snow-covered nature and over frozen lakes and rivers. After the trip, the loyal dogs are fed and attended to first. Then enjoy cooking together in the wild, as the eventful day ends. Day 3: From one adventure to the next
Strengthen yourselves with a delicious breakfast, ready for the next adventure. By now you have certainly grown into a team and all work is done quickly. Today you will go on an extended husky tour through the enchanting landscape. At noon, take a break, harness the dogs, and roast bread with reindeer ham and cheese in the embers of the campfire. While you tuck into a tasty lunch, you will have a breathtaking view of the fells. You will never forget these memories. Head back to the camp and in the afternoon, snowshoe across a 250-acre lake. During the tour, you will get insights into the exciting world of track reading. Back in the camp starts the "Samisische Abend", which begins with the visit of the reindeer. In this course, you will get interesting information about the life of the Sami and the reindeer.
Day 4: Departure
After a final delicious breakfast, this adventure sadly comes to an end and it will be time to leave your faithful four-legged friends and the wilderness behind. Have no fear though! You are certain to leave with wonderful memories of this adventure that will last a lifetime!

Additional Information:
The safety of our guests and animals is our top priority on all of our tours. The far north can have fluctuating and unpredictable weather with very strong temperature differences. Whilst we strive to follow the planned trails as closely as possible, we reserve the right to change the order of activities, the route of safaris, and the intensity of the excursions should the needs of our guests or animals necessitate it, or if the weather conditions compromise our pre-planned route. This involves both adjustments due to insufficient snow (meaning we cannot drive the sleds) or too much snow (snowstorms and extreme cold can cause accidents and various other problems). The required adjustments and fallback options in rare cases are based on the day-to-day conditions and can be compensated by shorter or longer daily stages, alternative accommodations, or even single day trips. In extremely rare cases we may organise alternative transport (ie. cars, quad bikes, etc). Feel free to contact us if you would like a more detailed assessment of this tour and travel period.
